To all the people selling Drk.  I realise the temptation to sell is great, especially if you bought at $1 or less.

However, before you commit that grievous sin and damage your future wealth, please do these logical checks:

1. Is darkcoin better than litecoin?

2. Is darkcoin current price less than litecoin?

If you answered yes to the above questions: WHY ARE U SELLING?!!!

Here http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coins& you can read:
"3250 blocks multiplied by 500 coins a block is 1,625,000 Darkcoins created between the times of 3:54 and 11:22 on January 19th, 2014". And today is only 4,315,600 DRK available supply.
And you are asking WHY ARE WE SELLING? It's kind of private money of fews who now manipulate the market. And you are asking why Litecoin is better than this?
Enjoy your dying shitcoin, buddy.

Wow, a 5% "instamine", yet Bitcoin had a 10% "instamine".

All of those early coins that were mined were sold on exchanges early. Want proof? Look at the blockchain, those early miners Sold early. The dev's themselves have no where near the # of coins they had in the beginning, i saw thread and posts where they were selling 10k drk here and there for 2 cents each, yes 2 cents each.

Are there any DRK forks without premine? I would like to invest in this beautifull ;-) technology but without premine.

Congrats Dark holders seems Your coin wining market. I've select for huge list Dark and Vert  for Hold few weeks ago, but choose VRT and seems I was wrong.

You're not wrong, just not a DRK holder yet. Still a way to go before we go above Litecoin

I still see no reason why not beeing into VTC. I also was weeks ago on two coins, DRK and VTC as stupid bagholder.
DRK has it days now and is great, VTC will have its days also soon. Asic´s overcomming scrypt networks and miners need a new home.
For me both coins are no longer minable as i can buy 50% more coins a day than mine them on 0.36$ / kwh in europe.

For my dayly buy ( money i normally would spend on electricity for mining ) in prefer VTC for the moment
My DRK are safe home into wallet instead beeing on a exchange. Its too unsafe on exchange for be because that bad "Sell Button"
always around the corner.

I think Darkcoin is great for anonymity stuff, but wider acceptance by public and businesses will never happen unfortunately.
We already have a wine shop accepting it. With proper marketing and brand positioning, mass adoption ala Bitcoin is not an insurmountable obstacle.

I've got to get some shut-eye. See you fellas. Looking forward to another crazy day tomorrow.  Shocked

One last thing: a lot of Russians posting about Darkcoin on Twitter. Not sure what that means but it's pretty interesting.

A way to avoid being tracked by the KGB. Moving out $ to avoid sanctions. тeмнo мoнeтa could become their national currency.

Our Gridseed ASIC scrypt LTC mini farm mine is working hard 24/7 for DRK.

Every LTC produced is converted to DRK as soon it leaves the pool every 2 days.

Never image that Gridseed will work so hard for DRK.

I will continue doing that until Gridseed explode or someone cut my electric supply.

Once the governments get involved things will change very quickly. Right now people are having all kinds of pie in the sky ideas about Darkcoin because there is a lot of euphoria around the price rising and all that, but I think the governments will move quickly and make any kind of blockchain obfuscation illegal. It is only a matter of time. Either that or anyone running a masternode or participating in any anon crypto will be branded an enemy of the state. I really hope I am wrong, but I have a nagging feeling that is the way things are going to turn out.

I think Darkcoin is great for anonymity stuff, but wider acceptance by public and businesses will never happen unfortunately.

I have no problems, I have sold part and kept other part of DRK. I don't want to say anything wrong about you guys. I'm just saying only one thing: DRK instamine is near 50% (not 5%) of the coins currently available on the market! Don't want to add anything more - no offence.

And when we are talking about the distribution of this instamine... well, it is anonymous coin right, so distribution is not possible to proof/analyse.

Anonymity is exactly why Darkcoin will be accepted by businesses, who have avoided bitcoin because they don't want their competitors seeing everything they do, everything they buy and sell, to whom and from whom. Darkcoin is the perfect tool for commercial entities.

No one here is selling, we all know what DRK is...
It's day traders, whales or people who didn't research the value.

Clearly though, trend is up and majority appreciate fundamentals so it doesn't matter.

Imho people are selling because they got used to shitcoin pump & dumps time and time again.
They got so used to it, that they operate instinctively out of fear.

At the same time, I spoke with a friend who was in Chromatis, a company that was sold to Lucent for $4.7bl. All the employees became overnight millionaires, and apart from one Russian girl, no-one sold their shares bcs it was a bubble and everyone expected prices to keep climbing...
Lucent share price then collapsed, and the only one who benefited something from the ride was the Russian girl who bought a house...

The future is unclear and anything can happen.
I am a very very big believer in Darkcoin and in Evan's abilities... but i also understand those who hedge their gains.
Everyone adjusts their portfolio to the risk he/she is willing to take.
And I think we are very fortunate that this is so, bcs it provides liquidity to the market, wider distribution, and thereafter a bigger network effect.

My 2cents.

So what if they do?  Once I2P is in it''s not like they can do anything to enforce a ban.  I'm not even sure they can do much to enforce it right now.

Just the same, move your goddamn masternodes off Amazon people.

And US or EU hosts in general, for that matter.

The reason those things haven't been attacked so vigorously is because there is a lot of grey area in regards to file sharing. Money is different!! And every single government on the planet has a lot to loose. File sharing or piracy is nothing compared to the power digital currencies have.

Downloading movies,  tv shows, video games etc. etc. with bittorrent is illegal. I'd estimate that over 20% of internet activity is "Illegal".

The only thing that can really stop illegal activity on the internet is the dystopian fear porn I mentioned the other day: NSA control chips in all consumer connectivity devices such as home broadband routers.

well, it is anonymous coin right, so distribution is not possible to proof/analyse.

yes, not in broad.
but personally you know if people sold you coins for low figures or not.

and if you where able to get them, you can guess that others did as well.

no proof, just a hint.
