On Mintpal someone just dumped 9000 coins

And then another 4800 on my/some whales combined buy wall of over 100 BTC.
looks like whales are taking higher risks on each round
26-25-24 is almost a suicide with +15k DRKs, many things could go wrong for them.

They need to be really sure about weak holders, and clearing them out for the future.

Looks like each weekend they take time off and let the market do what it wants, come back on mondays and pump up the price up to highs. 0.03 is so close. Usually explodes after crossing a new threshold too.

people have been selling their organs to get master nodes. takes time to get paid by hospitals, etc.

Hospitals should switch to cryptos and decentralized organ selling. Damn shame being stuck in the old system.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

Look at the confidence in this coin - 14,000 coins were dumped and it has hardly touched the price.

0.03 is on the way sooner than we think.

I hope my problems receiving a few DRK deposits at Cryptsy can be resolved. I had fully read the thread up until about a week ago, before the explosion of people posting about what the price was doing, where they thought it would go and how insignificant Litecoin is. I stopped reading and the masternodes payment fork slipped my mind. I think either Cryptsy or BTER (or both) are on the wrong fork and I'm still waiting on 3 deposits. It should have been a great day for trading, now I'm sceptical about sending DRK between any of the exchanges.

Moaning aside, congratulations to those who received their first masternode payments today!

You used Cryptsy AGAIN? Didn't you learn from the last time? Shame...

Yes it is possible they are on the wrong fork, to know for sure see which explorer it showed up on:

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/ - wrong fork
http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin - correct fork

Why are CPU pool and P2P pool still mining the wrong chain?  Didn't anyone get the memo?

Such severe dumping... dropped a dollar since the announcement that masternodes are operational...

there are a couple that I know of who are taking sheep sellers to the cleaners. they will be buying back in later. They know the price is about to go way above ATH before 14 June.

Do update

run daemon with -reindex

Please update ASAP!

Some bad masternodes set off a chain reaction which forked the network
into many smaller forks. To ensure you're on the correct fork please
update your daemon and run with the command "-reindex". It may take a
bit to reindex, but you'll be on the correct fork.

There's a masternode payment each block, it's always 10% and randomly selected. You can also see masternode stats (and payments) here: http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html

I heard back from Cryptsy regarding my issue.  They said:

Quote from: Cryptsy
Currently DRK is offline for maintenance and you will not be able to view balance, withdraw or deposit until DRK returns. Please know that your coins are safe, and DRK should be returning soon. Once wallet is up, your deposits will then go through.

I was about to answer this when I realized there is a detail I am not aware of: If no darksend occurs in the span of a given block, is there a payout? Does a masternnode have to perform a service to get it's share? If there is in fact no service performed, why would it still get paid?

I thought they just got 10% of block rewards regardless of darksend. they are there to be ready at all times.

Is it true that multiples of 1000 DRK increase the chance of masternode election for one node?

No, not true.  If you had multiples of 1000 DRK, it's far better to run multiple nodes.

They get 10% even if Darksend isn't used

No, not true.  If you had multiples of 1000 DRK, it's far better to run multiple nodes.

In RC3 Multiple entry Masternodes are coming (Evan said it in IRC) so you'll be able to put 4000 DRK (aka close to 60 000$) on a 4x payout Masternode if you feel like it and get an increased chance of payout instead of having to set up multiple nodes which could clutter up the network.
