I keep hearing all these bots are manipulating the market and yet there is absolutely zero proof for it.

People are parabotanoid for a reason: bots are everywhere and often they don't even bother to be absolutely obvious.

Here is my favorit. And if we brought this up... I wish to take the oppurtunity to hereby give a name for this Kraken trade bot: Wheatley (after http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheatley_(Portal) because they are both stupid but funny):

(Though it seems like he got smarter during the last month and started to do a nice job lately).

This is a long shot, but this worked for me.
I run the daemon with -listen=0, so it does not accept incoming connections.. just downloads the blockchain from the seed server..

cd in the folder containing the executable (windows or ubuntu) and

Code:
darkcoin-qt -reindex

Code:
darkcoind -reindex

Or delete everything in the darkcoin folder except the wallet.dat

Long shot but this worked for me added -listen=0 to the darkcoin-qt or darkcoind, so it only downloads from the blockchain seed source.

edit:  I think a CD down at the bank would give better returns.?
I have $150,000 invested. I received about $19 in dividends today. I expected 1 coin per masternode.

I averaged only .1 DRK per masternode.

I understand, its the first day, I'm fine with that, but it should be fixed by tomorrow.

I'm going to be honest: your attitude sucks, and it seems like you don't really understand what it takes to write software, launch it & resolve issues. The entire industry of cryptocurrencies should be considered in "alpha" since the tech is so new, and masternodes are the day 1 launch feature of a cryptocurrency. As far as our investment goes, it should be considered highly speculative. You need to recalibrate your expectations. I have a lot invested in DRK too, and I expect the devs will sort this out, but I'm not handing out arbitrary deadlines. How about trying to debug & help fix the issue instead?

I agree with what your saying.  especially the part about  an issue needs to be fixed.

I have 3 MN.  running approx 18 hours.  NO payments at all. no immature payments pending.

And Luke, what makes you think this was a bot and not just someone trying to get out? I keep hearing all these bots are manipulating the market and yet there is absolutely zero proof for it. Seems like an easy way to detract from the point that we are in a clear downturn from the last rise, something which should be over after the next flashcrash.
1) If you want to get out, you don't stack low volume sell orders down, pushing the price and making less, and certainly at the end of that cycle you don't buy more.
Which is what happened.
2) If you want to get out, you stack low volume up, support buy and drop the hammer all the way down.
You certainly don't buy even more after forcing flash shake out.
Which is what happened.
If you follow history closely, a very, very nice cycle is emerging - not seen since Bitcoin/Litecoin - and the direction is very clear.
Let's revisit in a week.
Oh I'm with you on the cycle. I just think we've got one more drop, before another huge uptrend. But claiming you can tell who are bots and who isn't because of one sell order is silly, how do you know the bot trades and the sell are related? unless you have access to the logs your just speculating, which ultimately makes your points less valid.

If you follow the patterns and trades closely, you would realise that this would be possible by hand.
Obviously, the hand set the paratemers for the bot using API.

All in all - as I said before, it's very helpful as this, plus the fact that there are very few weak hands and people intend to hold long term, DRK can grow very fast.
We have an excellent dev team which so far stays ahead, otherwise we would risk going way ahead of ourselves.

Hope that makes sense - if not, it's just my point of view and that's all.

It makes perfect sense, I do appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

so u need to buy 1000 darks to get how much a day ?

There is only 4,327,544 DRK in curculation out of 22 000 000 so it means ~500% more inflation right ?

This whole charade has been a bit of a mess hasn't it. You would think with a market cap of $59 Million United States Dollars it could have been planned and executed perfectly with a full and thorough analysis of any potential problems and the appropriate action implemented to avoid them.

DRK friends, is there any way to know for sure that my masternode is working OK?

My IP is in the list when I check with my darkcoind, and in another client, and on the poolhash.org list, but I haven't had any payments yet. I'm not greedy for payments but want to make sure that it's definitely working OK - is there a way to check?

I think we are all in the same boat right now - I think we need to be patient.
I'm in the same boat - everything I can check to make sure it's working says that it's working - however, I have no evidence (as in payments). Will continue to wait for more info.

I know what you feel...till this morning was quite mixed Wink after morning was sure it works good because I`ve received my first payment. Relax and calm everthing is going on the right direction.

BE SMART, USE DASH ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Payment is based on variance, just like finding block rewards. If you don't get a block it doesn't mean you aren't mining correctly. Just that it takes time to get paid because you have equal chance with the other nodes. So for each round if there is like 400 nodes, you have 0.25% to get paid. On average, you'll get paid once every 400 rounds, but variance can impact this and you might get paid twice, or you might be get paid once in 800 rounds. In the long run this smooths out.

thanks Smiley

I understand variance and don't expect to have definitely got a payment by now, just wondering if there is any way other than checking the list of nodes to confirm that my node is participating in the election process and will definitely get rewards. Would be annoying for a few days to go by with no payments, only to find out there's something wrong with my MN setup.

I deleted whole files except fresh wallet.dat and redownloaded all.
It stuck at different blocks time to time.

I'm praying not to stuck this time.

This is not a small problem. It didn't happen before this hardfork.

You obviously have no clue of software development. The problem is not what's happening right now, but people's ridiculous expectations!

is drk.hashhot.com on the correct chain? Mining there for now because drkpool is down. Also they might want to lower the payout threshold to something like 0.1 now.
