To put it into perspective - and I've been working on countless launches of large systems - the release has been a success.

1) Majority is on the right fork
2) New masternode code works
3) Masternode payments work
4) Voting works - with an issue of not electing every block.

Evan is working on the voting fix which I'm sure will be out soon.

That's quite good for RC2 in my book.
I agree. Overall things are going great. Not selling anything. I'm sure Evan will get voting issues resolved ASAP. And yes, the voting issue seems to be the only hiccup with RC2 at this point.

We need more votes, or a lower minimum than 6. I should check the testnet block explorer to see what voting looked like there. Whats the link to the testnet block explorer?

Have there been any posts about the specifics of how voting for MN payments works?

This is the only one I can think of right now:

DRK hard forked recently?

I was using this explorer, diff way too low.

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/

Yes, please use http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin for now.

Yes, thought I rebuilt the wallet from github saturday, but apparently it didn't turn ou all right.

Wiping, rebuilding and re-synchronizing everything right now with the github commit from 10 hours ago that includes the checkpoint for the wrong fork...

Difficulty on the fork is much lower, but still quite high, there must still be significant hashpower on the fork :/

Can someone clarify this please? Quote from above: 1x Masternode = 576 blocks * 10% of the reward = 1036DRK/day

I thought 24 hours x 60 minutes / 2.5 minute blocks = 576 blocks per day

Block reward = 5 darkcoins per block.  Therefore, 576 x 5 = 2,880 darkcoins per day

10% = 288 darkcoins per day

288 / 371 MNs = 0.776 darkcoins per masternode per day
That math sounds right to me.
Ok, if the maths is right then, ANNUAL return per MN based on number of MNs:

371 = 28.3%
500 = 21%
750 = 14%
1000 = 10.5%
1500 = 7%
2000 = 5%

This is based on the price at the time you buy the MNs and assumes the price does not change.

Therefore, in time the system will probably level out at 2,000 MNs for a 5% return.  However, this implies 2 Million darks, which is almost 50% of current coin supply.

This also implies the price of Darks are likely to skyrocket, if people kept trying to setup MNs.

Where is the DEV ? price is going down ! We need updates !
Please stop being a panic merchant.  Grin

dev is sleeping..selll  Grin

Horrible how people act. No idea what software development means.
Sell your DRK and go back to LTC. The support seems to be much better over there.
Seeing people invest 150K$ and expecting full reward after 1 Day is really cool.
Better they sell their DRK / Masternodes and let price go back to 0.01 and we can have a healthy growth again from
that point.

Do I misunderstand how the 6 votes will show up on the explorer?  On this block nobody has 6 votes, but it looks like an MN was still paid.  Or is this not the payout from that actual block - just the tx from an earlier one?

http://explorer.darkcoin.io/block/00000000000f387672e08c5cb16268517dbc5dde68ac0214e379c781a4dde40d

Actually it looks like that MN has been paid twice already...

http://explorer.darkcoin.io/address/mxoE9KG5QTmf4M8pmiGyyFp5Dpxkeu6i11

Yeah that's unexpected, maybe it's misreporting votes then.

That's quite good EXCELLENT for RC2 in my book.

P.S. Better yet, some of my bear traps got filled overnight. Thank you!
It's not quite good.  It's EXCELLENT.

Would that be risking syncing to the wrong fork? shouldn't do right?

No, if you have the latest version and reindex you'll always sync with the right fork.
