BEWARE it looks like someone changed the links on some of these "bumps" to NON official downloads!  Always get it from the source or darkcoin.io!!!

Hi guys,

What is the new development that lead to the current rise of price?

Some details :
v0.11.1 - InstantX Release - Mandatory - Please Update!

We are excited to announce the release of Darkcoin Core v0.11.1! We have decided to push out InstantX in a separate release because it’s working perfectly on testnet and our other changes to the masternode network will take some time to complete.

ETC....

Jesus I just saw that you moved it up to 0.01 - You give me no choice to but to HODL and buy more to make some money on this rise, can't rebuy much lower if I wanted to sell anything. And I can't go long since Bitfinex aren't opening margin trading yet. People would go nuts margin trading darkcoin, just because they could.

Spam @Bitfinex on twitter plz

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

No change there then.......worse in fact. This is on a winblows 7 64bit PC, & Darkcoil no longer seems to work either, so I have no option but to sit & wait for hours before I can even touch my wallet, let alone send anything.

Mass adoption will never happen until there is a wallet that works for everyone on every (or at the very least the most used) OS.

I had this not responding behavior only once few days ago when having multiple (cpu intense) processes running parallel to the wallet. I also tend to use the 32bit darkcoin binary, even on a 64bit os. But I guess you already tried that since you seem to have this problem a long time already... mhh

Yup, tried all binaries & installers - same thing. I run it on Linux without issue, it's only on winblows I get this. I think it's because my payments are from p2pool & it struggles with them - but if that's the case, it's an issue that should have been addressed long ago as I know I'm not the only one suffering from it.

Not sure why darkcoil no longer works though, but I'm screwed without it..... Tongue

Ok, so there is some possiblity for this.

what I'll do :
Backup your wallet.dat.
Create a new wallet.dat (just move the old one and launch darkcoin-qt it'll create alone).
Like this your are sure to be on the good wallet version and have a fresh new wallet without transaction history).
Send all your coins from your old wallet to this one.
This should solve your problem.

I had something similar to you, with a wallet that had a lot of transactions history (350+).

Did you download from darkcoin.io?  Or did you use one of the links someone posted here?  I just noticed that the links someone posted here as if it was quoted from Evan go to some file download service.  NOT to darkcoin.io or github!!!!!

Located to seedy UK pubs, in the darker depths of the quieter corners, are hushed tones resembling the air of conspiracy. And 3 words in particular stand out if one listens carefully, 1 is 'Darkcoin',another be 'InstantX', but a third more omninous tone only just above a whisper is the name  'Otoh' murmured ..

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Have experienced this when wallet size gets wayy too large. If you are mining p2p it definitely seems like the cause. My wallet would become lethargic when I would play TONS of dice for weeks. Send funds to brand-fresh newly generated wallet from most recent version and I believe you will be pleased.

Put this in your darkcoin.conf:

litemode=1

It will run wallet with out DS And will be similar to darkcoil. performance will improve... but darkcoil is still faster.

It is actually quite common in all crypto wallets. Lots of small transaction cause it to be a large wallet.dat file. Simple. Create a new wallet and send all coins to the new wallet. Size is then normal and it will boot and respond like normal. Note please backup your wallet during this exercise. (edit before this exercise)

I don't see them as different.

They seem to all point at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject

Where were the links that you say are fake ? (I downloaded Mac wallets and Linux but I think I just googled darkcoin.io, I can't quite remember, but it was that post that prompted me).
