Alex, are you in the USA?  Los Angeles maybe?

I also really liked the news station music Cheesy

I'm in Russia, in Moscow now (So I am not this pretty girl. Not Snowden also.  Grin)

That's what I thought, but was surprised you were able to get an American actress to do that!  You're so amazing!

Gonna be PC here.  This is a Monero representative passing out leaflets. I had to post 'cause it's still causing me belly aching laughs!  I figure everyone could use a good laugh.  That's the closest to greatness as that poor slob will ever get (Evan is in dark blue shirt ;P )

Some proponent ≠ Monero representative. I think I've already stated this numerous times before (e.g. iCEBREAKER), but you don't seem to get it.

Ok, he's handing out fliers advertising Monero's dice game apparently.  As oaxaca said at DT,

He's actually handing out ads for their new dice website.

"Yeah, their development gets funded by the block reward, but ours gets funding from gamblers losing money on monerodice. Cool, huh?"

Sorry, but if he isn't doing this for Monero, who is he doing it for?

OK, I won't say any more.  Still thought it made for an excellent belly laugh, and probably put a couple of years on my life if laughing really is the best medicine Wink

It's not like we can stop him right? He can basically do what he wants. Just saying that your image of a coin shouldn't be determined from the actions of a few proponents in my opinion.

But you gotta admit, it's really hilarious that the first real-life dash event immediately turns into an exact copy of the bct thread, complete with an analogue version of a troll. It would be even funnier if it turned out to be one of the regulars here :-)

Sorry, but if he isn't doing this for Monero, who is he doing it for?

If he had nothing to gain from advertising a probably soon to be declared illegal gambling site (because, you know, that's exactly what happened with the original they copied...), he certainly would not do it. Maybe he's just invested in it, maybe he sleeps with the guy running it, doesn't matter. He represents XMR to me from now on.

yeahh.... noo.. too late  Grin

Oh you mean like smooth, an actual "Monero representative", who keeps singling out angry replies to the incessant trolling in this thread as "representative" for the entire DASH project?
Pot. Kettle. Black.

Btw: Never miss a chance to sigspam. Good for you.

I hope "Support for 700 million users" means the network can support 700 million users at any one time. Or to put it another way, 10% of the worlds population can use the DASH network at the same time.

Can somebody at the event please confirm this or explain what it actually means.

It might not be your fault, but it's certainly your problem: Imagine if this idiot or someone like him takes these flyers, wraps them around rocks, and throws them through people's windows. What do you think their image of your coin will be when they find these flyers? This is how I (and I guess a lot of others here) have first heard about your project, through acts of vandalism in this thread. And you know how it is with first impressions..

IMO those numbers are based on current infrastructure (ie. very low end hardware for masternodes)  Cool

poor slob

I don't think we should be publicly traducing people that are unknown but who's photographs are published in the forum.

The guy is just innocently handing out leaflets and doesn't merit any online hostility. I don't think it's very respectful to post his image and call him a slob. I think that photo should be deleted. Many people attend these types of meetups which are usually good spirited all round. However if they start being a target for political voyurism it will just sour the offline community as well as the online one.
