Tick tock...  Tick tock...

I can see DASH going to #3 marketcap, but I think moving to 5th and replacing "that coin" would be the sweetest move of all.  Grin

almost there lol

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Still please tell me someone why monero have 14 000 077 coins and DASH only 7 119 101 coins? But xmr was launched 4-6 month after DASH?

The number of coins in a project and the rate that they are created is arbitrary.  It's something decided at the very beginning and usually doesn't change.  Of course anything can change if you have consensus, but that becomes harder and harder to do over time with a successful currency.  The unobtanium coin project has 1 coin.  The 42coin project has 42, there are some projects with ever expanding inflation that will never have an end to the number of coins they will have.  It honestly doesn't matter what number was used.  What matters is the inflation rate from rewards for mining or holding (proof of stake) or running nodes (proof of service).  These inflate the coin supply.  The coin supply may inflate forever, or reduce down to nothing.  Like Bitcoin, Dash reduces down to nearly nothing.  The intention is that the fees for services will eventually pay for the network.

So the important things to understand, and unfortunately, I think most people don't, is that a single coins value is basically a % of the project.  So 1 Dash is currently 1/7,100,000 of the project.  1 morano is 1/14,000,000 or roughly worth 1/2 of the percentage of their project as what 1 Dash is worth.

Question is, does the number of coins mean there is a limit to it's use?  No, because coins are infinitely divisible.  Eventually, we might think of a Duff or a Satoshi as the main unit value, like we do the dollar.  We can easily say that hamburger costs 3.45 duffs.  Currently, there is an (ugly) standard of BTC mBTC uBTC and Satoshi as well as Dash mDash uDash and Duff.  Some of us would like to see better names, or re-assignment of names, but it's not important really.  The population will undoubtedly come up with something without us, such as in the past... buck, bread, clams, bills, etc...

Certainly, I believe that writing prices in 0.00000010 Dash will not happen, it's just too ugly.  We'll probably go by Duffs.  It's going to get weird again when we have to go more than 2 units below a duff, LOL.  But that would mean we have an economy participation of over10,000,000,000.  Maybe then, we'll call the units Saras after Mrs. Duffield, who is our first lady Cheesy

Great post !

That is one of the best commentaries you have ever made.

"anything can change if you have consensus" and I would only add that markets then put a price tag on that 'consensus'. That's the beauty of diversity - you can do what the h* you want and markets will price it all in because markets always have options.

Wow, thank you (blush)  A problem I have is that people think of buying a "coin" and what a "coin is worth" without thinking about how many coins are produced.  It gets silly.  But for a long time, we've seen projects with hundreds of millions of coins, or more, reach undeserved market caps simply because they got people to buy the coin for 10 cents or something.  People need to think "how much is this project worth?  What are the best projects in the space. Then they need to divide that by the number of coins available, which equate to shares in the project.

Dash, which has everything Bitcoin has, only far far more is way undervalued.  Dash has a great two tiered system, is self governed, self funded, private and has instant transactions. Then, when you add in simple user interface that is familiar to the world, you should value Dash far more than Bitcoin. Even so, IMO, we should be #2/#3 next to Ethereum.  In fact, I think we're a better, more well rounded and solid project than Ethereum with many of Ethereum's abilities.

If you take Ethereum's market cap and divide it by # of Dash, you come up with $165 / coin.  So I honestly think Dash should be somewhere around that point now.  Once Evolution is launched, we should be far exceeding Bitcoin.  But I know you don't agree Tok, I just still don't think "first mover advantage" will help Bitcoin.  But I do understand you're saying that as a monetary medium, it's different from other forms of businesses.  Still, I think most any person who has an understanding of these projects would agree that Dash should be valued at least as much as Ethereum Smiley

What an(other) embarrassingly stupid thing to say for a perceived lead dev which is in reality just a stewardess WITH ZERO QUALIFICATIONS ON BEING A DEVELOPER on a plane that's about to crash:

See this shit? That's the reason Manuro is headed nowhere. That's the reason it will suck on Dash's tailpipe in a couple of hours. This kind of narrow-minded, dim-witted, pathetic idiocy and complete ignorance of economic reality seals the doom of Trollero.

And all the few remaining sane people in this forum don't even need to read any further, because they know why it's so dumb.

It's not the project "having a partnership", PuffyPonzi! It's the current developer team striking up a partnership with merchants, exchanges, manufacturers, startups etc. to further the goals of the underlying project. No one is partnering with source code, Dickardo. It's always people making things happen. Your skewed view of reality and your false sense of superiority make you such an easy target for it, but you're always faster in humiliating yourself before I can even get to it.

What a disgrace to the whole of crypto this greedy "I try reverse psychology by saying "DONT BUY MONERO, IT WILL FAIL!" but at the same time tell people our crypto protects people's lives"-scammer is.

Let's all remind ourselves of one of his previous self-humiliations:

Are you ready for a good laugh, guys?

Riccardo Spagni aka OneTrickPony puts ignorance over a "minor detail", I would say, onto full display here:

No, Ric, it's definitely not "[residing] in a single address". The whole point of mixing coins would be ruined if they'd be put all back together into one single address after mixing. They remain mixed the entire time with hundreds of denominated outputs which are, for all intents and purposes, impossible to backtrace and ready to be spent anonymously. We're still waiting for you to de-anonymize this transaction btw.

You wanna tell the world how unsecure Dash is, but you are neither able to break any of its features nor do you even grasp the most basic concepts of its privacy model. You are a pathetic failure of an attack dog and Risto should stop paying your puny trolling attempts immediately after this humiliation.

Should've stuck with wine tasting instead of being a stewardess for the plane crash that is Manuro, Ricky.

What a joke.

I think you're being a bit hard on the trainspotter community there MC. You should realise it's more fun to waste time on polo trollbox than attempt anything as boringly serious as 'partnerships' in the open source world.

(Unless it's partnerships with doting monetary analysts that is Wink ).

Nice to see Dash moving up the charts.

Only 4 more projects to go before Dash becomes the #1 cryptocurrency of choice for global finance.

That's right, BTC, we're coming for you...

And to our daily detractors in this thread, I don't often say this due to my Canadian politeness, but you can just go suck it.
