While the price of DASH could certainly "crash" or "correct" in a major way at any time, I would encourage people to think a little bit beyond the bubble paradigm.

Dash has:

a) InstantSend which allows transactions to be treated as fully confirmed in less than four seconds.

b) PrivateSend which allows for financial privacy, or not, as you see fit.

c) Governance model that doesn't rely on only miners, but instead focuses on holders of the currency (masternodes) whose interests are more aligned with the success of the currency. Our governance model allows for voting by owners of the currency so that consensus can be sought rapidly for changes or budget proposals.

d) Funding. At present, we have a $3.8 million annual budget that we can use to do anything that helps the currency. We can pay full time developers, project managers, marketing and public relations people; we can fund integrations with exchanges and other services, and so forth. The higher our price goes, the more funds we have to make our network more valuable, which means our price will go still higher...it's a positive feedback loop.

e) Working on Evolution, which will make cryptocurrency usable to ordinary people. Mass adoption, anyone? Babygiraffe posted a great article about PayPal One Touch in the dev slack. Features like that would really take Dash a long way.

It's possible (I think likely) that the recent price increase is a permanent revaluation of our currency. While we may give up some of our gains in the short term, I think it unlikely that we'll ever "return to the mean." Try not to fall victim to the anchoring heuristic, where you assume since something has had a certain price for so long, that must be the only price it can ever have.

At the same time, don't FOMO/hype buy.

what this i don't know any in my wallet whay not in my balance http://imgur.com/a/kxg8V pfffff

Because importing watch-only address doesn't suddenly make you able to spend these funds, you need private keys.
how to get private keys my old computer i don't know

You could bring me your old computer! Wink
Are you pulling our legs or do you seriously have no clue how this all works?
Your post history tells that you are not that new to crypto anymore. I think you should know the basics by now.
Your private key is stored in the wallet.dat file. If you install a coin client the first time it generates you that file on your harddisk mostly in a default C: directory. (in case of windows)
If your computer is dead it is still on your harddrisk. You can recover it from there if you plug the HD into your new computer.
But make sure to NOT write anything onto that Harddisk. In case you deleted that file from your HD in the past it is still there and recoverable as long as the space on that harddisk was not overwritten by new data.

Once you have that wallet.dat file you can install a new client which generates an empty new wallet and than simple  replace that empty wallet with your old recovered wallet.dat.
But BEFORE that make one or 2 security copies of your recovered old wallet.dat on various offline storages.

When people say that Dash is expensive at 45 $, I remember how many people said in 2000 that Apple was very expensive that it was crazy to invest anything there.

Then, happened what we all know with BTC ... at 20 $ do not touch it is a scam! ... at 100 $, it's ponzi! ... at 500 $, it's a big bubble that will explode !!

I have it very clear, only live once.

Good luck to all.

The contest is now over!!!
Thanks to everyone who participated, it was a lot of fun and maybe we can do it again, stay tuned.

A Total of 23 Dash was paid out

When the Biz Dev team (itscrazybro) first asked me to come up with a Bitfinex contest I informed them that even though it may sound easy to give away free money for participation in task it is surprisingly difficult. It is difficult to motivate people to put other important things on hold and take the time necessary to learn new platforms and procedures. It personally took me forever to join slack just because I did not want to take the time to set up yet another social media account and try to figure out how everything worked, but I'm so glad I finally did.

I told the Biz Dev team when we launched the original campaign that in order to fully motivate people we may need to double the prize budget to properly incentivize them. So that is exactly what we are going to do....

DashForce Bitfinex Contest: Reloaded & Doubled

The Dash Biz Dev team has tasked DashForce with getting some traffic over to Bitfinex. They have just fired up Dash trading pairs again and need some liquidity on the buy side.
Here is how it will work, if you place a $1000 Dash order you will receive a 2 Dash tip, $500 and you get a 1 Dash tip, higher than $250 you get a 0.5 Dash tip.
So, after you place your order take a screenshot of that. Then, once someone fills your order take a screenshot of that. Upload your screenshots in the #dashforce_exchange slack channel and we will send you your reward. Simple as that!
Our budget for this contest is ~$1000, so get over there quick and don't Slack Smiley

Some interesting news : https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/ongoing-ddos-attack-on-masternode-network.13468/

Quote
Dear community,

We have an ongoing attack on masternode network for about 3 hours now. The attack is a mix of SYN flood, UDP flood with empty payload and protocols like sFlow and GRE. So far the only result attacker was able to achieve is that he caused higher CPU and bandwidth usage for most of masternodes which in its turn cased ~100 of masternodes to go down. We believe these masternodes were hosted on extremely low end VPS, like $1/mo, so it's not that surprising to see some of them down now. We encourage all masternode owners whose nodes were affected to move to a better hardware or upgrade their hosting plan to ensure that your masternode doesn't fall out of payment queue during such events.

Meanwhile, you can mitigate the attack by following steps in iptables setup part of this guide https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/how-to-set-up-ec2-t1-micro-ubuntu-for-masternode-part-2-3.241/

I guess this was bound to happen. To all masternode owners : Make sure the specs for your masternodes are up to the task : https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DOC/Updating+to+12.1+-+Masternodes#Updatingto12.1-Masternodes-HardwareRequirements

Mine are fine Smiley  Is this our first "attack"?  Guess they gotta try harder Cheesy  LOL, I hope it's costing them big bucks Smiley  Though, on the other hand, this is good stuff, we need to be attacked now, while the system is young.

@ICEBREAKER
Hope you had some dash from 3 years back when you started trolling this thread. Must feel like a moron after spending 3 years 24/7 on this thread and not gaining anything in return.

No risk at all.  My MN funds are on a trezor.  Before that, I kept them off line in a jump drive / cold storage.

Doesn't look like it.  Dash has been holding at 45 - 46 USD.  It's been going up against bitcoin a little to stay in that range but against fiat, it's pretty flat lined.  It's seems Dash is taking a break, catching it's breath until the next rise???  My thoughts, not based on anything Tongue

When update the masternode software, should i have to re-enable the cold wallet online to make the remote masternode work again? how the network know the 0 dash remote masternode have 1k dash?

Bitcoin is going down so Dash is going down too?

Sure, Dash follows BTC pretty close. IF Bitcoin goes down, pretty much everything else comes down a bit too.
But it looks like the price is stabilizing around $45 so it isn't so bad.

If you update your masternode software within 1 hour you do not need to restart the masternode from your cold wallet. You simply update the masternode to the new code, start it on the VPS and you are good to go. It takes just a couple of minutes for the most time. Even less if you use some helping tools like Dashman.

If you take more than an hour, a new start masternode command must be initialized from the cold wallet.

The masternode points to a transaction showing it holds control of a 1000 Dash collateral and that it has the private keys to the address.
