Just leaving my feedback for elmad's latest cpuminer: impressive.

The minerd-corei7-avx executable boosted my Xeon E3 performance almost 250%. This single-handedly took each core thread from 22 KH/s to 55 KH/s. In practical terms, in spite of the big difficulty rise, I'm still mining and getting a few coins a day.

Also, seconding the idea to enable more community features at darkcoin.io. A forum (easy setup, smf type) and a wiki would be very good.

I want to put your attention to small easy-to-fix flaw with a wallet - a yellow icon in Windows tray is for Xcoin.

I need to replace the old minerd in my digital ocean droplet.

Anyone knows the suitable exe for their ubuntu 13-04 droplets? AES-NI generic perhaps?

And a noob question... which is the easiest way to upload local files to a droplet? do I need to setup a FTP server?

EDIT: pool.darkcoin.io and drkpool.com have the same stratum address and port in the help section ¿?

It works well on my Win8 laptop with i5 Haswell processor, but minerd-bdver1.exe (?) fails to start on AMD Athlon 6x under Win7Entp.

Has anyone got sgminer working with a 68xx or 6990? Myself and a few others I've talked to by PM have tried for hours getting it to work with no luck... Really annoying not being able to mine one of the most promising coins in a long time! All I get is:

------------------------------------------------------------------
[08:36:44] Started sgminer 4.0.0

[08:37:32] Error -11: Building Program (clBuildProgram)
[08:37:32] Error compiling program for search.

Frontend phase failed compilation.
Error: Creating kernel search failed!

[08:37:32] Failed to init GPU thread 0, disabling device 0
[08:37:32] Restarting the GPU from the menu will not fix this.
[08:37:32] Try restarting sgminer.
Press enter to continue:
------------------------------------------------------------------

The new CPU miner is great though, getting ~100 kHash/s @ 3570k

I beleive AES-NI stuff will not work in digital ocean, because their VMs does not support this. BTW, you can use 13.10 there.

No, just use scp command (in linux):

$ scp /my/loca/file root@<ip>:/root/

The new Windows CPU miner that elmad created doesn't seem to have increased my hash rate. I just copied the bat file I was using on the old one. Does something else need to be added?

check the .exe names -

    the original was minerd.exe
There are 3 new executables, check the readme to determine which one you need to use (based on your processor)
Thanks for your reply however I only see 1 .exe in the folder and its minerd.exe The readme file lists the instruction sets but that's it. maybe I got the wrong file? It says cpuminer 1.3

OK, try this link - https://mega.co.nz/#!pBZzQAII!yuvzhcnx3ezLre9fek_G67D0_IyiNqIbEHKY4cKdovA

That's reposted from elmad's post. There are three executables in there. The readme explains which one is compiled for which CPU type you have. you will need to change your .bat file to use the correct executable (change the name from minerd to minerd-xxxx-xxx)

You might also find this helpful if you aren't sure which instruction set(s) your CPU has available:

http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/sb/CS-014921.htm

Thanks again man. The first time, Norton swallowed up the other exe files and I didn't notice. I got it rollin' now. Went from 191 kh/s to 455 kh/s. Very impressive.

Is it because of GPU miners or just because the price of DRK got to new heights in the exchanges?

Is it normal that Unconfirmed value has not been updated many hours today on http://drk.lotterymining.com ? I am mining on the both official and lotterymining pools with about the same rate, but since this morning my Unconfirmed is 0 (I am sure there should be at least something today) and Confirmed value also has not been changed. Official pool is working fine for me: values are changed constantly. Yesterday lotterymining worked fine.

Have you tried the 13.9 drivers? I had problems too until I used that driver.
also, my 3570K is pumping out 455 kh/s overclocked slightly @ 4.1.

I can confirm the 13.9 drivers work really well for the GPU miner on AMD cards!

Just to be clear though, I am running 2 5870's and 2 7870 XT's. Thread concurrency's are 8192 and 14336 respectively. I'm hoping to get the 6950 I have rollin' tonight. I haven't tried yet. Who knows, maybe I'll end up in the same boat as you. Smiley

Also, looking for someone who can create a reddit tip bot for darkcoin subreddit, willing to give out a few coins that I have to the one that gets one going.

I'm running catalyst 14.1 Beta drivers (13.350.1005.0) ATM. I'll try 13.9 (if I can find them for 8.1).

Should have mentioned, 100 kh/s/thread = 400 kh/s in total. I only have stock cooler, so I run mine 3.6 GHz@1.05V Smiley
