Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

hi, everyone,  i found my wallet synchronizing with network failed today.

and is stop at 15199 block. does anyone have the sanme problem ?

There was a fork done at 15200. You need to upgrade to the new wallet. However, I am not 100% how you should proceed so as to not lose coins. At this stage I would hang tight and wait for someone who does. I am 99% sure what you need to do, but I have no knowledge of exactly how forks effect previously held coins.

Just make a backup of your wallet.dat in case, and update the darkcoin-qt.exe. It will work just fine.

Mike just chill, this happened to someone yesterday. I'll see if I can find the post. Did you backup your wallet.dat first?

yes, i backup. and address is Original in new wallet, but not receive coins from pool i have cash out.

ok, I would go to another pc and install the old wallet again. Then replace the wallet.dat with the one you backed up and see what happens.

Exactly. We should all keep in mind that it still might turn out to be impossible to reach the goal of anonymity. However, me personally think that the other elements of this coin are worthwhile, but perhaps not of the Litecoin amplitude...

family members. I have heard that it all revolves around the card. IP / phone used to verify etc don't matter. I've heard you're allowed 2 trials per card but I am uncertain whether these can run concurrently. I found a thread where one guy got completely banned because he did this, whereas if he simply ran his trial to completion and then setup another he could have had a solid 8 days of serious (relative I know, but I'm talking CPU for the average Joe) hashing with 20 cores for free. Instead he ended up with nothing and being completely banned. I'm not risking it myself, but as soon as one ends, the other will begin. If I KNEW it was safe to run them concurrently I would have already done it.

Family members haven't had any phone calls from Microsoft? Read some people mining doge with azure trials have had calls from them, apparently they didn't care that they were using them to mine though.  I've just told my girlfriend to say shes using them to mine.

Can someone please explain the differences between Darkcoin and Anoncoin?

Anon coin is only for the tor network. Darkcoin should be anonymous on the internet full stop ('period' for my american friends)

Ok thanks, does Darkcoin use Zerocoin or is it separate from that?

Please lets not start that just yet. We are currently in baby stages.
If the anonymous technology is delivered in a reasonable time frame, I fully expect this coin to exceed Litecoin. Litecoin is just the original clone. No functionality expansion, apart from being temporarily asic proof. A truly anonymous coin however, has incredible potential.
