I'm not a programmer, and to be honest, I find that block explorer so confusing, that I can't see why we need Darksend, LOL.

Could you please explain a little further?  It looks like a block was generated 3+ times a minute?

http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin?hi=20&count=21

click the link.

As far as I know(might be wrong)

Block  : height / block no
Approx. Time : block generation time
Transactions : how many tx.
Value Out   : sum of tx value output
Difficulty   : diff
Outstanding    : sum of reward
Average Age   Chain Age   % CoinDD : don't know LOL

Do you have any idea why the blocks were created faster than they should have been?  I mean, aren't we supposed to have a 2.5 minute block?  Does this happen with the start of every coin?

2.5min is a target spacing. if a block found with in 2.5 min, diff up, past 2.5 min, diff down.
With lower diff ( 0.00xxx) , called insta mining..

Wow, what a mess! there should be a way to start it at the brink of difficulty  going to the next level and keeping it at 2.5 minutes, or whatever the desired time constraint is, but that's all water under the bridge now.  Wish it weren't so (shrug)

you have to remember that xcoin started out without kgw, that was implemented later after the big whale left us stranded high, therefor there was no quick adjustment, it would adjust after a given amount of blocks. that is why there was a faster coin generation in the beginning..

Come and help mine darkcoin, and get a chance of winning the lottery pool.

once a week 50% of the fees, will be drawn,
to one lucky winner... is it your turn next?

Pool Pays Witdrawal fee: 0.0
Please spread your hashing power, we dont want 1 pool to have >50%

Dedicated pool, we only run Darkcoin mining
DDOS Protected pool, resistant to: fake shares & scrypt ddos
Only time stratum goes down is for VERY short periods when updating stratum, or wallet
Stable Fast Server, but dont take my word for it, see what others have said in this thread

Coinmine.pl is above 50% again, please spread your hashing power

source: http://darkcoin.mine.nu/poolhash.html

if you care about the value of darkcoin, then dont go to a pool that has so high a hashing rate, investors look upon this as being risky....

Is it possible to send a mass email to those who registered? Some are definitely not checking this thread regularly anymore and are in auto pilot at coinmine.

I deleted all files from my appdata/darkcoin (except wallet.dat) downloaded darkcoin-QT V0.9 but it still gets stuck at 34110, is there some other files I need to delete to start fresh?

Hi CHAOSiTEC,

Could you pls explain how the draw is made and the winner chosen? Do all workers have the same chance regardless of hashrates?
Also, what is the minimum amount of mining time required to be eligible for the draw?

Cheers

Updated to the new wallet and network! Now with Cryptsy price displayed Smiley
Address: drk.p2phash.com

P2Pool benefits:

* No registration required
* Distributed hashrate
* Immediate payouts after a block is found
* Higher payouts with transaction fees paid to miners
* No account hack possible

Fee: only 0.5%
Start mining within seconds! Just point your miner to p2phash.com:7903 and use the Darkcoin address from your wallet for username, the password doesn't matter.

I have to admit, there are lot of ignorant stupid people!

48 hours Coinmine is over 50%

Many people already wrote about that but apparently those that mine in coinmine are idiots.

he did, but it doesnt seem to be enough, if i was pool admin in that situation i would try with raising the mining fee, until it got under a specific point... something like 45 % or so

We need a Darkcoin vs Darkwallet
Which will offer greater anonymity? I'm assuming Darkcoin since all this is part of its core protocol…

Can somebody please shed more light on darkwallet?

http://bitcoinmagazine.com/7892/shedding-light-on-the-dark-wallet/

runs via chrome or firefox plugin

EDIT - it seems to be a wallet client. reading their home page

https://darkwallet.unsystem.net/

lol - exactly what I was looking for… thanks!

my first impression (as a non-programmer) is that DarkWallet would require lots of users to safeguard its decentralized trustless mixer model. The fewer people that use the wallet the less decentralized (I think). Darkcoin cannot have such a problem (right?).

I was also surprised to see they raised 50k on indiegogo to develop the browser plugin. I wasn't surprised they got it, rather that they couldn't muster 75BTC worth of fiat from friends and libertarians to get on with it. Anyhow that was in December and still nothing. So I'm not sure whats going on there or if its even happening anymore.

Not to mention Im sure Darkwallet faces some opposition in the BTC community - those who wish to appear whiter than white. Again - Darkcoin has no such opposition within its community Smiley

No profit calculator but the data are as follows: Profit is approximately 1 DRK per megahash, give or take.

GPU megahashes right now are 3X scrypt ones. Which means if you have 1 Mhash in scrypt you have ~3 Mhash in Darkcoin = ~3 DRK per day.

CPU mining is possible. Top CPUs like i7's overclocked at ~4.5 GHs report close to 900khash with the 1.3 AES/AVX miner (which is around the hashrate of a mid-level GPU of the 58xx and 68xx series).

Alt community is just as greedy and apathetic as ever. It's not surprising. It shouldn't be that hard to have an even distribution among pools.

But the buying on the exchanges has picked up a bit. Nice to see.
