I do have a full time job as well as trying to get this project completed too.
I know that feel. Who doesn't lol. I love cryptocurrencies so much. I find myself explaining the concept to people at work . I am not surprised how few people are aware of the technology. I am spreading the words as much as possible  |

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

That new subreddit is 1000000x better. Also @ Humanitee , I also hate the lock designs. It symbolizes security more than anything else and all cryptos are pretty much equally secured by math. It doesn't symbolice anonimity at all. The current logo grew on me but we'll see what the competition brings us. Maybe something amazing will come up.

I've submitted a design brief to designcrowd.com, and some interesting designs are coming in. Here's a peek at one of the submissions:  Currently at 413 / 600 DRK for logo design fundraising. Xc8xGSP7FwWGPQpgw298z7NYdA8xJK8ooh Seems that it should be horizontally mirrored so that the bottom of the lock forms a D (for Darkcoin), other than that it's bad ass. Anxious to see others. Edit: although the "shrink wrapped" look has fallen out of favor lately (see iOS and windows 8, among others). Am I the only one who hates the lock and key designs? Darkcoin has nothing to do with locks, unless we associate it with prison.  Yeah i dont know. For me the current logo is awesome. One of the best out there... As much as I appreciate people working on new logos and things, good on them! But honesty, I love the current logo! It's awesome, and I don't think it would be a good move to change it. If people want to work on designs and thigns, why not work on some cool graphics making use of the current one. I saw some cool 3D / realistic and vector coins a few pages, love them! |

They say to expect around 60 designs, so hopefully that pans out. some context for the designers: If DarkCoin ends up in the joe public space, you have to start thinking about good and bad brand association that retailers and financial institutions care about. That doesn't mean change the name, it means thinking through what the brand is supposed to convey: * Privacy * Ease * Trust * E-Cash *The press will say of the dark connection - the coin for illegal use. * We might say - e-cash for everyday use that remains dark from those that want to follow your spending habits. * The customer might say - oh, I can use DarkCoin here. Great, I can make a private transaction in this store. |

I've seen this sentiment several times, but I'm not sure why. Namely because, to my knowledge, there is no proper logo. If I'm mistaken about that, will someone please be so kind as to point me in the right direction? It seems to me that a lot of people are confused, so please allow me to clarify... This is a logo.
