Noooo we need higher price per unit.

EDIT: If I consider the profitability of drk mining, I should have stopped at the beggining Cheesy

We have very intelligent operators in the room, I'm impressed.

We need the market to correct some, when you go up this fast people are kind of stupid to not take some profits, and as soon as that cycle starts it will continue for a while.

I just removed my coins from the exchanges and will keep them locked up for a while. Things will get back to normal when the price drops 40% or so and people start seeing potential again in it going up.

There is nothing which inherently requires a price correction for taking profits. All the way up to current levels people were selling and taking profits because they bought lower. It's just that the buying power was absorbing these sells.

Having said that, the price pulled from 0.028 to 0.024-0.025, so it's a correction in that sense.

This only happens because people don't realise the value of what they are holding. It's called price discovery, and is the process whereby dumb people hand money to smart people.

I don't understand...what mean correction? In my eyes, correction is selling litecoin and buying darkcoin. is that what you mean?

Man, there's a lot of anxiety here lately! Here's my take:

If you're a long-term holder (like me) and are getting anxious... try this... divide your holdings into lots (whatever you feel comfortable with)... if you're getting anxious like I was, just pull the trigger and sell some... I still hold most, but it does feel nice looking at a ROI. The way I figure, it's all gravy now.

Otherwise, I think it's QUITE interesting that now we're seeing bigger ASICs rolling out that a non-scrypt coin is making the move to potentially replace LTC.

Also, I don't know if this move is also related to the master node payments being turned on, but brace yourself for a possible correction in price at that point. I think *if* it happens, it will happen on the 25th...

But I also posted many pages earlier that I personally don't see master nodes coming online officially as a big catalyst (other than maybe what traders have made it into). The real catalyst will be the actual release of the coin in June. I think once it's out of beta and released we'll see more merchants adopt it.

I still think the dedication of the community and Evan's hard work can accomplish what LTC never was able to do.

accomplish what LTC never was able to do.

I guess it accomplished what it was designed to do. No less, no more.
I never liked Litecoin. Even Vertcoin made a similar mistake: offer absolutely nothing else but temporal ASIC resistance. At least Vertcoin is halfway ASIC-resistant (the Scrypt algo was meant to be used with a lot higher N factor, even higher than Vertcoin's current value to be really ASIC-resistant). But they never thought about ASIC-resilience (having an edge regardless of ASIC development).

Man, there's a lot of anxiety here lately!

I think you're mistaking shock, disbelief, amazement and utter WTF is going on with anxiety. some have been shell shocked by the fact we are at the Nr.3. For so long everyone was like - we need to go higher. Now its like a dog chasing after a car bumper and then catching it - the dog goes, WTF do I do now when it catches the bumper.

I'm still of the view we need to be at around $100m at this point to hit first/second round funding levels for fair value. I'm in danger of sounding like a broken record, but if you think DRK can get to over $1bn in a year or two, then at these levels its F*ing cheap.

What is everyone waiting for? VCs and stock markets are forward looking 1-3 years ahead. We're like forward looking the next half-hour.

The next few days are going to be pretty interesting around here  Wink

What's the easiest way to see the whole orderbook of Cryptsy and Mintpal, down to 1 satoshi and up to 1 BTC /DRK (almost real-time)?

+1, Dark atm is very undervalued, still many people don't know of darkcoin and it's features.

Well, I lost a lot of DRK (relatively speaking) because it felt is is going up way to fast to be sustainable. If it went up 1-1% for two days and 1% down one day in cycles I would still hold a lot more (the same I originally could afford to invest).

how is TIPS still possibly so cheap, when it had anonymous transactions so much earlier than this scamcoin?
DRK isn't even opensourced, how are we to know it's anonymous?
