Is the NEM client C, C++ or Java?
I would like to see a C client that is far more secure than a Java one.
Also I'm not a fan of the Nxt client using 1.5gb ram on my machine.
It's Java with the exception of the interface which uses the usual suspects of web technologies You wan't to see a Client written in C ? People are bitching already about things taking so long. Writing it in C would have taken much longer.

Java. This is the feature rich client going out at launch but I think we could offer bounties for alternative clients, especially if the new one focuses on a specific customer segment such as a minimalist application client focusing on payment transaction only.

I like the Qora client for its simplicity for example. A large part of users will use NEM in the same way as they do BTC. For those a simple client would be good.

NEM tokens is a great idea!!
Please consider 1 NEM = 1 Token. So that way just about anyone can buy one. It will spread out the distribution a lot more!!

Impossible. The best it could be is to have 1 more digit after zero.

How is that possible? the logistics of exchanging tokens back to NEM would be impossible in that case. Unless there is a way of automaton but I am not confident.

When you tell someone how "great" something that has not launched yet is, you are making things up. If you want anything to be measured, you really need to let it exist first.
also, value does not start where we want it to start arbitrarily. starting value is 0.00000001 btc, not 0.1 btc because "i think so"
I'm pretty sure NXT's starting price was 0.000001 BTC. Considering NEM has 4x the amount of coins as NXT (and assuming NXT and NEM are somewhat comparable), a fair starting price for NEM would be 0.000001/4 = 0.00000025 BTC, or 0.25 BTC per stake.

I am pretty sure it could be automated 100%. People will send their Nem tokens back to UP with Nem address included and they would get 1 token to 1 Nem via automated (could even be instantaneous) process to that address.

What is the status on the initial distribution? What do we have to do to get our stake?

(2) When will NEM launch? V.1 of the blockchain will launch roughly June 2014. An alpha version of the client for testing will be released roughly May 2014...

There ain't no Revolution like a NEMolution. The only solution is Bitcoin's dissolution! NEM!

Probably. I tried to stress that they're very rough estimates; there are no exact ETAs just yet.

406 pages. That is amazing. I was really hoping for the Alpha in late April, but it's best to be safe than sorry.
