I tried to withdraw some POT from pot.poolto.be and it's not arriving in wallet.
are there known problems with this pool, other than the fact it's closed?
Exact sme issue for me as well with pot.towho.de which is down now POT.TOWHO.DE was scam ??I'm afraid this is not exactly the same issue. pot.poolto.be is not down but closed, you can still login, navigate and create manual payout requests. there's a message on the home advising to withdraw the coins and I did, they just haven't arrived yet. If a pool is down your coins are gone, at least in my experience. happened with coye once lol.

Quick note about the faucet: I've temporarily suspended it due to bot abuse. I'll upgrade it in a couple days wen I get back to a PC (currently away for Easter with just a tablet)

Good luck getting rid of the scammers. They always want more than their share. Now if they released the bot for everyone, then everyone would be on same playing field but they don't because they want unfair advantage and don't care who hurts.

Guys I'm sorry if this has already been addressed but I read through recent posts and I can't find an answer - did we ever get an updated wallet that patches the OpenSSL exploit? The latest wallet on the website appears to be 0.8.6.3-158 which is (I believe) the same one from a little while back before heartbleed was announced.

The wallets suck. I was going to give a friend $100 in Potcoin , he doesn't trade but he wants to hold long term. We both signed up for the hybrid android app web wallet thing. After sending a few test coins, I will not send those coins there, I'm afraid they will be stuck. The wallet shows poor programming skills. Neither he nor I could send 5 coins, but I was able to send 5.0 coins. That is poor programming.
I downloaded the windows wallet for him and apparently you have to change the conf file or the damn thing never syncs. I downloaded him a DRK wallet, synced in 5 mins. I can go back over to his house and fix his potcoin wallet, but it shouldn't require all that and he's tech illiterate so like most people he wouldn't even want to try the fix for the conf file. The thing should just work so average non tech nerds can use it.
I am about to compile the Linux wallet now and try it, oh I was never able to log in on my android phone for the hybrid wallet, said invalid credential, but the same credentials logged me in online in the browser. I don't know who wants to risk sending coins to that blackhole.
Great coin, great potential, but damn if you don't have a wallet you can't really do much. Long term investors like my friend, who like the coin and see potential, don't trade, heard about Mt. Gox and don't want to store them on an exchange.
tl;dr fix the wallets if we ever want to see real growth.

POT0.00001910-20.42% the price
Back to normal average price ;p Never buy into hype, The coin is gona go back to slow and steady mode for a while. Best time to buy will be ahead of announcements on ATMS and PotCoin Setting up shop inside dispensaries. I know for a fact, that if there was a dispensary here in my area, people would most certainly use PotCoin OVER bitcoin to keep their transactions anonymous. . . there is no record of what crypto you use, and for sure, potcoin will develop a strong "underground" economy that will float the price higher at some point, all we can do is keep accumulating till then , and sell or buy product when the time is right, I certainly look forward to using PotCoins in the near future ;P with legalization sweeping the nation I have no worries about potcoin price, it could dip to 5 cents or w/e doesn't matter.

STATEMENT FROM SUCHPOOL.PW ABOUT DATABASES ISSUES ON 2014-04-19*NOTE: MINING HAS RESTARTED NOW. Everything that you have mined after the first issue are there, and everything you will mine in the future too. Dear users, We lately had two long period of downtimes caused by the databases. Both crashes were related. At this point, we fully recovered 100% of the data of the second one since we already had put improved backup systems in place. We have yet to restore the previous balances from the first ~30 hours period, but the values are isolated in what you can see as CREDIT_DUMMY. We will use the average payout per block you were all getting in that ~30 hour period, and redistribute it faily so everybody will get an amount really close to what they should have. Please take a look at the statement we posted online, detailing the situation and what has been done to ensure the smallest loss possible. http://suchpool.pw/docs/statementdb.pdfIf you have any questions, you may contact us at admin@suchpool.pw (Make sure to mention which pool it is about, your username, your deposit address) We will verify and credit what has to be credited if applicable. Thanks for mining with us!

I went over to https://coin-swap.net/market/POT/There is NO potcoin market there, it is gone. There is a page that suggests there is, there are pretty tabs for the various pairs. Clicking on them only takes you to https://coin-swap.net/market the primary markets page and again, there is no POT. The buggers.

Re-enabled the faucet and will monitor things more closely for a few days. - added reCaptcha (annoying, I know)
- blocked TOR
- increased interval to 24 hours
Donation history is "lost", it's in the old "wallet.dat", which holds about 500 POT at the moment, plus about 200 POT in many "zero confirms" transactions to very probable bots. Does anyone know how to "purge" that wallet so the POT can be recovered without having all the unconfirmed transactions be sent to the probable bots? Whenever I remount the wallet, it proceeds to rebroadcast the transactions... of course all those POT are in "change" addresses, which can't be listed easily through the RPC interface...
