The forum just became too crowded lately, and a lot of FUD around Sad

The fud is good to keep the price on check. We do not want pump and dump of the price. If the price is unstable, it is bad for the adoption.

no one else is concerned with Ethereum not having a mining algorithm yet?

It's quite well under development now; a couple of hardware people we're talking to are saying good things about our general approach, and the main thing it's missing is a really rigorous professional review, which we'll obviously be able to much more easily attract post-sale. If we are not satisfied, we can always use SHA3 as a fallback.

$100? are you on mETHs? last year bitcoin was down at $225. today's cap $6.45 Bn. ETH's supply is 5x BTC.

for ETH at $11.32 to reach $100 its cap would have to be $7.76 Bn. that isn't going to happen, unless BTC suffers a black swan event.

If you look at the stock market and see how many shares there are for certain companies Apple inc for example 5.5 billion shares/supply. its not completely impossible to reach the marketcap but it would take years. So as of now I agree with most of your argument.

$7 billion market cap for Ethereum is not a big problem. When the bitcoin reaches $20b, Etherum should be higher than $10b.

Ive built a tokenized sportsline, with wagers presently available on the outcome of the UEFA Europa and UEFA Champions League tournaments. ETHERsweeps is built on top of an edited EtherEx platform, using custom-built tokens representing each team still involved in these tournaments.

Tokens are available at 0.1 ETH each, and with the built in minimum of 1 ETH on transactions on EtherEx, the minimum purchase will be 10 tokens. Tokens will be available to purchase until April 26th at noon UTC, just before the start of the semi-finals. At the conclusion of the tournaments, I will set a purchase order on the marketplace to "buy back" the tokens representing the winning team at the odds posted on the ETHERsweeps website. Tokens representing eliminated teams will, naturally, be valueless.

Updated scores and ETH valuation will be done daily.

Please check out http://ethersweeps.altervista.org/index.html for more information.

To connect to the ETHERsweeps webserver, run geth/eth with the following command line:

Code:
geth --rpc --rpccorsdomain http://104.156.251.192:8089 --unlock 0 console

and then connect your browser to http://104.156.251.192:8089 to open the ETHERsweeps web server.

There is no reason why ETH couldn't reach 100$

It is not Bitcoin, don't compare it with Bitcoin. Bitcoin doesn't run Dapps and does not have Smart Contracts.

Bitcoin in it's current development is only somewhat usefull as a currency, has consensus problems, thats blocking development and further adoption.
Bitcoin is ~7 years old and has been surpassed by better technology, that's how ICT works.
The marketcap for Bitcoin is very small, considering the money floating around on this planet.

When you get companies like RWE, Thomson Reuters, Samsung/Ubuntu, banks, etc. building on Ethereum, it could have a 20-50B Dollar marketcap withing a few years. There is real business involved here, not just John buying 50 ETH.

My prediction is not because I wish to see that to happen but because there is no law that forbids ETH to grow bigger than Bitcoin.

ETH is like Apple stocks in 2001 right now...

Just my 2 Satoshi...

Unless they can 'fix' the BTC confirmation delays, it will NEVER be a mainstream financial option for businesses. Simple as that.

Ethereum does not have that issue... yet..Not sure it even can, once it goes PoS.

Go Big or Go Home.
