How dry was this thread when SLR wasn't on any exchange, but now came all those, who calls any Solarcoin believer an idiots. Wtf?! Go and leave your bad thoughts anywhere else.

With all the project idea in mind, Solarcoin is exceptionally niche coin with very long term development.

Sweet, solarcoin made it to an exchange:
https://www.allcrypt.com/market?id=229

Wow, this coin has very strong buy support at the exchange. I'm quite impressed!

It will be interesting to see what happens when the solarcoin folks ACTUALLY start paying out for solar energy production. Is this just all talk/hype to get people interested in the coin so they can dump it? Or will they actually follow through with what they say? If they do what they say, then I can see this coin being bigger than litecoin because they will be attracting a new crowd of people other than just miners.

They are paying out as of the last couple of days for solar production.  You can redeem here solarcoin.org/redeem/

Oh my! There is an anonymous hasher on the cryptopoolmining pool doing 92,000 KHs! That's a lot isn't it? The most I've seen all this time from any one miner has been maybe 20,000 KHs.

Holy crap, these guys are for real!! No wonder the buy orders are 10x that of the sell orders. I wish there were more altcoins that had great ideas like these solarcoin guys.

It's not there yet, wait till we get into coinmarketcap.. Smiley 99.5b premine x .03cents(current price per solar) = 2.985B market cap that will place us exactly #2 below bitcoin massive advertising, look what happened to aurora when it went into coinmarketcap, just saying. keep your coins. Smiley Also the pilot stage on giving out solar to solarproducers have started so expect some MOOOREEE media attention outside cryptocommunities. Smiley

I put up a Block Explorer here:

http://solarcoin.zapto.org/

It is built using the bitcoin-abe open source block explorer. If I get some time I'll try to improve the look and feel. It's running on an Amazon AWS spot instance. Spot instances can occasionally be terminated without notice but I expect it will be online most of the time. I'm willing to keep it up and running until somebody builds a better one or finds a more permanent home for this one.

In case you missed this, there is a post on the SolarCoin forum by someone looking to do more in this area, perhaps they can build on what you've already done?

Post is here: http://solarcoin.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=228&sid=8dd6527d27feda64afda374aef477263

The solarcoin initiative is about to explode!!!

Across all the pools we have about 480 mh/s...  I've been in this since day 1 launch back in January when no one knew what it was.  The solarcoin team has made great progress in about 3 months!

I can't believe they have already handed out the first coins for solar power generation.  That moved fast!!!  In my opinion, at the current rate this coin is going, it is sure to explode over the next several months!!!

Can't wait to see what happens when commercial business gets involved and coins are handed out to businesses as well.  This should really move the initiative!

These are exciting times people...  This coin has SUBSTANCE with many players in the financial and solar industry involved.  If you haven't done your research, now is the time to check into it.  This is NOT another pump and dump scheme.  It is a legitimate crypto with a goal of a greener future!

Remember everything starts off small.  Bitcoin was nothing in the beginning as well!

Sweet, sweet redemption. I am almost tempted to go through this thread and quote all the naysayers in a single post.
