Anyone able to get this article to show? my password from the solarcoin forum doesn't work. Protected: Increasing SolarCoin emphasis for Solar Generators http://solarcoin.org/news/TIA It's probably not meant for the general public. Inside board room stuff. It's mysterious, I like it. Yes, it's a news release under development. It's a very significant one, so stay tuned. I just can't stand being in the dark. try: "solar" for the password, but the article didn't say anything different than what has already been said in the forum over the last several weeks.

It's still under development though, don't forget!! They should change the password to something more fun and make a puzzle out of it.

Hey here's something I'd like the community to consider.
If/when the foundation changes the algo and the block rewards go down to 1 SLR per block, I think those who've mined a substantial portion of the coins, or bought a substantial amount should toss between 75-90% of them in cold storage with the address publicly available and listed. I would do this in the mid term to help grow the Solarcoin economy, and I would pledge to not touch the coins for a good while, say the 3-5 years the foundation has calculated the maturity of the coins value.

I would second that - although I fear my SLR holding is not significant enough to make a difference. What would you call substantial?

I'd say 100k or more is substantial, but I know there are a few with much more than that. I mean this is voluntary, if you don't hold as many it won't have as much of an impact on the overall effect but get many people with a smaller amount of coins together to agree and that makes a difference.

He sold me a signed copy for §300. He's using a $0.10 exchange rate for SLR apparently. One book per person at that price. I tweeted out the transaction last night, I don't have it on me right now to share it. I can't wait to read it!!!

Well I lost control of most of my scrypt hashing power. I got a year free hosting with zencloud for my black widows. Unfortunately I can't direct them to specific pools, and they payout in BTC automatically so I picked up a single GAW Fury to mine some SLR with. It's been going strong for a few hours now and I don't see any signs of it letting up. 55 watts for 1.3 MH. Very energy efficient.

That's what I've been running for the past month. Been thinking about buying another one, but I'm pretty anxious about the KnC Titans that are expected to be shipped any day now. I think if I spend the $60 to buy SLR, rather than to buy a Fury to mine SLR, I'd probably come out ahead.
