Apreciate everyone's work on this but it seems like we are just avoiding the inevitable.

Here is the link where we can plead our case to stay on Bittrex: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=635824.0

I just posted on there to help out but if they want to get rid of solarcoins i will just stick with allcrypt

in the end it really doesnt matter bittrexx doesnt make or break us.

Personally, I've always like Allcrypt better, but I usually get better buys on Bittrex.

Bittrex seems to be developing their business model to focus more on listing the latest "hot" coins, and not so much the coins with long-term potential that have small but steady volume. From a profit perspective I can understand why they're doing that, but it's unfortunate that so much of the altcoin scene seems to be about quick pumps and ignoring/rejecting long-term quality.

AllCrypt is going to do a major overhaul soon, and from what I've heard they will be adding margin trading and shorting. Perhaps in a few months they'll be a much bigger exchange than they are now. Still, it's unfortunate that it looks like we'll be cut from Bittrex in the near future, as Bittrex has emerged as the #1 or #2 for altcoins. Oh well.

Bittrex Bill posted in the other thread that they'll be leaving us "for a few more weeks". At least we don't have to keep begging every week.  Grin

The good thing about all these coins being delisted and solarcoin staying for a few more weeks makes less junk available and hopefully solarcoin can shine.

We just need to all put our money where our mouth is.

If the board decides on a block reward decrease will this require a hardfork?

Yes, changing the block reward structure or block times always requires a hardfork.

Must remember we're halfway to block reward halving in the current code too.

https://github.com/solarcoin/solarcoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L838

…anything else looks to require a code change.

I think we can just leave it. It will probably make the coin more appealing if left without all the fancy hoo-ha. I can see a switch to POS, especially for what this coin is trying to achieve. A switch to POS before or during the roll out of the real grant program would probably help the coin quite a bit as you should only be able to get it from solar power and various solar related efforts aside from the IPO which also makes sense.

If you look at digitalcoin there block reward is 15 every 40 seconds.
And if you look at there trading on cryptys the bid and ask are made up of
small orders of 10-20 coins increments.

Hopefully this will happen with solarcoin if the block reduction
is down to 5 a minute by next year.

Instead of having 5k to 10k on the bid and ask on a single order.
As we have today.

Rarer = more valuable = more solarcoin grants
