Currently as i type this i could buy 41,000 solarcoins for around $126 Try that in a year from now! In feb of 2015 there will only be 7200 solarcoins minted a day. and in 2016 = 3,600 Very exciting times ahead. But how many will be granted in 2015/2016? Moar Soalr!

In reality, 99.5% of the SolarCoin distribution "algorithm" is unknown and random in terms of when the coins are distributed and how many. Over time it should replicate more and more the growth in solar adoption, but we can't predict it down to the coin. It could take more than 40 years and it could take less. There is NO other coin like that. All of them have a pre-determined mathematical algorithm driving supply (i.e. coins in circulation). Randomness has been injected into some coins as part of the block reward structure and the distribution but none are based on a real world driver like SolarCoin is. This is why, in my mind, the future decentralization, automation and verification of Generator grants is the most important thing to get right. My short time on the board has given me confidence that this is a goal everyone involved is working towards. It will take time though and we should expect many bumps in the road as we strive to make that vision a reality.

Just look at any low volume coin and watch the .001 to a few hundred unit trades... I have been trading glyph as an example daily for a while but now its totally ruled by nothing trades. Just look at the trade history. Put in an order and several nothing orders appear above mine ... bittrex, cryptsy and even mintpal have the same issue. Been noticing this patten on allcoin as well, but while they have a nice site, the liquidity is low.

Hey guys, Check this out: https://blog.ethereum.org/2014/07/09/how-to-make-a-purchase-in-the-ether-presale/It's about the upcoming ether sale. My understanding is that any altcoin can use the ethereum platform to create contracts and it costs ether to enact the contract. That's why ether is intended to be super cheap because it's meant to act as fuel for the contracts. It's quite fascinating as an application for SolarCoin to implement in the future as part of the granting process. Assuming I am understanding it correctly of course.

Not sure, his tweet didn't have it there. Boo, our new block explorer needs a feature that tracks the grants on a separate page. It would be easy enough to write, something like 10 lines of code. All it has to do it check for telemetry data and if found it'll post it up in an easily accessible way. I'll go ahead and post a §10,000 bounty for such a feature. I know you can easily view all the transactions from the main wallets but that phase hasn't begun yet and it would still be nice to have all of the grant transactions posted in an easy to access way.

... 7 sold at the bid Does Ghost Trader ever sleep??? Hello, I mostly just read the board so its been awhile since posting. I have to say... yes please buy "ghost trader" a beer... and dump it all over its bot trading hardware. I wondered if it was a bot. You think so? totally. Yes the trading pattern is very 'bottish' and the numbers are telling also. Looking roughly at the math here (back of the envelope stuff) Most pools are doing well to keep a return rate of 0.001 BC / Mhz/Day hash return At the current difficulty of 5-6 you get around 400 solar/Mhz/Day return. Botting the SLR price down to 0.00000275 or so makes sense for someone wanting to mine without the big Mhz machines pushing the difficulty up. Most of the larger players are using some form of automated price sensing software that changes coins on perceived mining value (diff/price). These systems are not sophisticated enough (or at least the ones I have looked at) to look at volume - they work on last traded price. Hence forcing a sale, even to yourself, at a low price (but not too low to make it obvious) will keep the automatic switchers away from SLR. If I am right then this is quite a clever tactic from someone mining with enough Mhz to make the sacrifice worth while. Casual observation of price v overall Mhz would tend to support this theory. There are other trades that are just miners / pools clearing coins at day end. If I had the time I would use the Wallet API and track the sales. I would expect that all the roads lead to Rome.... T.

Everyone try and support solarcoin on bittrex spread the love... https://bittrex.com/NewsPotential Market Delistings Friday July 11th #A3C, #BOUN, #COIN2, #FCN, #GRK, #LION, #XLC, #MHYC, #NEB, #PER, #ROM, #SHIBE, #SNCX, #UVC, #WATER, and #WVS Developers, please contact us to keep the market from delisting. Potential Market Delistings Midnight EST #BTCX, #CT, #DRM, #DVK, #FLASH, #HIC, #HC, #LIMX, #X13C Increasing the trading volume will keep these coins on our markets. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=635824.msg7084920Good to hear that we're not one of the coins being delisted. We probably have barely enough volume there to remain listed. I've also been trying to encourage people to buy on Bittrex instead of AllCrypt because we don't want to get delisted from a major exchange like Bittrex, but for some reason the majority of our volume is still on AllCrypt. Maybe the good news is that means a lot of people are buying SLR who don't read the forums. Probably most of us who read the forums have switched to Bittrex, and I think about 25% of our volume or something like that is now on Bittrex, but I'd like to see it get up to at least 75% of our volume. Concerned noted. I think Bittrex will not de-list SLR. There's not a lot of volume there but it's actively traded every day. I think Bittrex's formulas take that into account. Just saw on the Bittrex SolarCoin trade page ( https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-SLR), that it is slated for delisting 14 JUL! If we want to keep it on Bitrex, shouldn't we get some more transactions through that site? I signed an account with Bittrex just to purchase Solarcoins and now I'm a bit concerned. Full disclosure: I am a total noob in the cryptocurrency trading, but have been doing a LOT of reading the past few weeks and Solarcoin really caught my eye as an alt-coin with true potential.
