Guys this coin needs to be have difficulty retargetting if you are serious about this coin, especially before it hits a major exchange. That should the highest dev priority
What's wrong with the difficulty?

it is the difficulty retarget that is a problem... when diff is low... lot of miningpower... short block times => diff retarget set diff high => lot of miningpower gone (no profitable anymore) longer block times... to be solved by faithful miners and that is going on and on... diff retarget should be faster, like kimoto gravity well (but is recently discovered to be exploited) or DIGIshield (digibyte, dogecoin,...).

+1 Dev should update code before massive attack of multi-pools. I even think that the algorithm should be changed from scrypt to SHA-3 (Keccak). SHA-3 is more eco friendly in electricity wise.

There's a whale on the network or a ton of people jumped on!!! We are approaching 1Gh/s on the network!!! Gooooooooo Solarcoin... Prices are too low with that amount of hashing power. We should be trading on a major exchange with that type of movement. Hopefully it is consistent...
Next difficulty estimate at about 13+...

I see. I am a faithful miner. But mainly because this is the only coin worth mining. All the others are shit.

your voting fool us several times, and i think you just want us to donate more BTC. i think we don't need your exchange now, because we have hit 2 exchanges (Bittrex and AllCrypt) and both of them have public api supported. the volume of SLR in these two exchanges are healthy.

I read an article about this coin a few months back. I just decided to start mining it last night lets hope this works out. Huge potential to make a lot of cash here.

This coin is already launched and mineable; was a heck of a soft launch. The creators have not been pushing for publicity yet so it's not too late... very low diff at the time of writing.
FYI - I am not a creator of the coin, just an advocate and supporter who is posting on their behalf and with their consent. I have 10 years in the solar industry and am very excited about SolarCoin!
I encourage everyone to do their own research, there is a lot of information from the creators available on their website. The wiki on the solarcoin.org site is down at the moment but when it is back online it is a treasure trove of useful information.
are you still involved in this coin mining wise?

Apologies if I got this wrong... but based on the nxt-e price and including the generator pool, is the market cap already approaching USD 1B?

What are you all talking about?? We have recordings of the live drawings if you want to see that. In the first drawing some votes came in the last 15 min that put solar coin third. And the second one you were like third also.

And it was at first place the last time you guys added a coin too. I smell something fishy. yup these guys seems shady to me. What is shady about losing a live random drawing? All of the addresses for donations are public so you can always go see why you are not listed first. Please if you're going to say something is shady have just a little proof. Others like our program because it gives everyone a shot at being listed, not just the coin with the most BTC. The people who have posted have put no information about why anything is shady and live streams/block explorers will clearly show that we are not. We also have our company information listed on our about page. I'm happy you guys have been picked up by bittrex as they are a great group of guys and Ive been hanging out with them on IRC. Pretty sure they would also vouch that we're not being shady about anything.
