So I was just checking out CoinWarz (which I do every so often) and I did the math for SLR*** and where it's trading right now on Allcrypt and the profit per day is between $1.25 and $1.50. The top profit coins showing on the site are $1.06. That's 15-40% more profit versus the coins currently at the top of that list. Obviously they don't pull data from Allcrypt or SLR would be on that list. At the very top of that list in fact. And the volume on our exchange exceeds most of the coins on that list too.

If we suddenly popped up on there, I'm not sure we could handle the influx of miner sales that would ensue... But the bids are strong right now, so maybe. However, if you figure in that we haven't addressed the multi-pool/KGW issue yet it could also hurt on the mining side depending on how many miners hopped onto our coin.

Honestly, after thinking this through, maybe it's best we aren't showing on CoinWarz yet. At the same time, I'm very excited to watch how it plays out when it does happen!

Our overall numbers for mining and trading are really very strong for being completely under the radar compared to the majority of coins out there. That's a very good thing...  Grin.

***Note: My profit per day numbers used an input of 450 kHs and no electricity costs.

If Solarcoin popped up on CoinWarz as being the most profitable coin to mine, then it would probably kill the coin, because there would be a huge influx of miners who only wanted to dump immediately at the exchange.

It won't kill the coin. It may cause a short term drop but the exposure would counter that quickly as more people do their research. What it WILL do is reduce the profits for those miners smart enough to be mining it now. Wink

For now I'm liking the fact that we are the diamond in the rough. Smiley

 Wink
https://www.solcrypto.com/

USD/SLR exchange, probably YEN/SLR too. Smiley

Wink Thanks very much kikeda and others in the community. Yes the current currencies that are supported all directly to SLR depending on your chosen clearning mechanism are JPY, USD, EUR, AUD, NZD, GBP, CNY, HKD, TWD, PHP, SGD and THB.

I am the operator of Solcrypto. A free peer-to-peer direct SolarCoin matching portal.
We have buyers and sellers matching each other since April 1st. Buyer volume is between 250 to 10,000 SLR/day.

The price on Solcrypto is higher than that of the exchanges because it is designed to be simple and easy to use to buy-into the SLR eco-system.

We will not do advertising/ transparent as much as possible to run a P2P portal. i.e. we don't hold any coins and zero transaction fees. We have no interest in changing the price of the SLR other than following what has been asked on our servers by the buyers.

Thanking everyone for interest in SLR,
SolarBearSays- "To the Sun"

p.s. If you like the service, please feel free to donate, we have to pay our server costs (about 0.7 BTC/month or about 50,000 SLR/month) plus some additional Dev costs for maintenance (0.2 BTC/hour or 14,000 SLR/hour).

Good point, glad I'm mining it now. I dreaded the day that solarcoin hit an exchange (difficulty jumped from 1 to 5), and I dread the day that it pops up on coinwarz, because that will be the day I sell my miners. But Yin/Yang, I guess that will also be the day solarcoin gets the exposure it deserves.

The best way to get solarcoin out there is to have the volunteers call every solar company in the world and tell them about solarcoin. This would ad a selling point to there products. I bet most solar company's installers have no idea about it.

In fact a friend of mine never heard of solarcoin and he runs a solar install business.

We could then make up signs that could be shipped to every solar business and have them place it in there showrooms. Or even a sticker that would go with any solar instalation that said dont forget to claim you solarcoins every year etc. maybe even the sticker could have a built in wallet on it with the private key sealed....

Win win situation for them and us.

This will be a game changer.....
