Is ether an altcoin already to consider? Because I know that the main cryptocurrency or coin is bitcoin and anything follows is considered as altcoin? Am I right? But I guess Ethereum is not good to hodl for a long term basis.

How can you say that the ETH is more stable if in 2018 the ETH fell by more than 98 percent? it has cost 1500 on its ATH and now it is 120. stable?

I will prefer to hold in altcoins, because you can choose for owning multiple altcoins.
It is better to diversify your holding portfolio to minimize the risk you take in the future if the market goes bad.
Holding ethereum is good if you want to investing into ICO, but nowadays only a few ICOs are doing good.

choose another coin that is better than altcoin for example I would prefer NEO because we will get GAS when we hold the neo that gives us more profit but even if you hold ethereum I think that will also give you high profits someday..

Both altcoin and bitcoin are good for investment but i  would rather invest in altcoin than bitcoin because it is easy to invest with small money and make more profit in altcoin.

Non is better than the other the advisable thing to do is hold the both in either equal proportion or 70:30 proportion rate.
