Not even bookies are that brave to offer much higher odds when you take into account that Wolves won last 3 games against City. This is not coincidence and it is blatant that Wolves style of play is doing big problems to City. I was thinking on putting some money on Wolves but then I am thinking City is way too good team to lose 4 times in a row against any opponent. Will probably skip the game in the end.
They also lost Doherty which is for me even bigger loss than Jota.
Yeah, I'm really going to miss seeing teams with 20-30/1 odds against City, even though theoretically they are as superior to teams on paper. Good thing we can still find 10/1 odds on teams like United=p
I try not get myself thinking in streaks too, Lyon and PSG had an awful start and caused me to put money on them after losing badly, but then it happened again this season.
I got lucky with United, so my math is telling me Wolves, but like you, my logic's saying no.
It was a silly sending off. I don't know why they risk these sorts of tactical fouls. Mane would have probably missed but even if he had scored it would be better to play a goal down than a man down. Had they had played the full game with 11 men I think it would have been much closer.
That's the sort of split second thinking that separates the really good defenders from the rest, something I always thought was missing from Liverpool CBs for years until VVD came along. Werner, Havertz, etc. The result doesn't take away the fact that they are still a scary team and will be even more so once they gel together.
And City are without Gundogan (covid positive), and Laporte + Aguero both injured...
i predicted a 1-2 Man City win in our pool, but i'm not adding this match to any tickets, Wolves looked good vs. Sheffield, and City haven't played in a while plus they're missing key players, but then again, Wolves isn't particularly a scary team, so u never know...meh, i'll take my chances with the Serie A and AC Milan on my Monday bet slip
I do think Wolves are really scary on the flanks and final third, when they click into gear. And literally scary too to see Traore charging down defences, he's just so fast and veiny...
