You don't have an amount large enough for a payout yet. Once everything is converted you'll get the payout. Probably some will move from exchanged to payout tipping you over 0.001 and getting at least a partial payout already.

Alright, just to relieve your frustration, I've PMed Terk, but the answer is probably still gonna be "wait". Unfortunately you were part of the 0.2%, lol.

Regarding old unexchanged balances.

The pool has ~20 BTC of old unexchanged balance out of over 9500 BTC mined since the pool start, which is only 0.20%. They are some post-fork blocks that got stuck somewhere and automated scripts couldn't resolve their status automatically. I need to manually check and investigate what is the status of these mined blocks. The pool has mined almost 700,000 blocks of dozens different coins since start and there were over a hundred forks which we needed to resolve through, because these new pump-and-dump coins tend to fork a lot. The unexchanged balance are leftovers from forks which couldn't be resolved automatically by our scripts. Some part of this balance are just orphaned blocks and there are no valid coins behind them, so this part will be converted to zero as is any other orphaned block. Some part of this are valid blocks which got stuck somewhere and it will be resolved, exchanged and paid as usual.

I started sorting it manually today and I hope to finish it in this week. This is time-consuming and manual work, so please be patient.

I've been watching my Total Expected   jump from 0.009 too 0.00899636 and before I seen it jump from 0.008 to 0.007.

Whats going on with this?

Like something is dipping into my coins.

1) Well it's at 0.00916083 BTC at this very moment.



2) Sometimes jumping from 0.009 to 0.00899636 is perfectly normal (it's 0.5% down). Remember that “total expected” are not “your coins”. It is estimation“ how much your coins are probably worth after they'll be exchanged”. Exchange rates fluctuate all the time, especially for new coins they can go up or down 50% within an hour. And it takes hours for most coins to mature and send to exchanges. So your unexchanged and immature balances can always change up or down as it is hours before coins are mined until they're exchanged to BTC. During this time we can only show an estimation of how much they're worth and exchange rate can change during this time.

NEW! Setup your own difficulty

Our new stratum server has VARDIFF enabled and it should work great for most users. But if you have a miner with dozens of chips working as a single connection you might want to setup your own difficulty. You can do this by using password d=XXXX where XXXX is number between 128 and 65536 (only powers of 2 are accepted, so 128, 256, 512, etc, e.g. d=512). This will set a fixed difficulty and disable vardiff. It works per connection so you can choose separate difficulty for each of your miners.

As for CPU: nobody is CPU-mining scrypt any more except botnets.

I believe there are not many CPU mining users left. Some people are turning off their GPU rigs these days with the flood of new ASICs increasing difficulty.

I don't want to lower difficulty more than 128 because there will always be some users wanting to “optimize” and set the lowest possible difficulty even while having high-hashrate miners. Sending multiple shares per second doesn't help anything and is not good for anyone (pool servers load, user network saturation, etc). I think 128 at the lower end should be optimal.

I've got mostly GridSeed 5 chips, and when peeking in on their performance on CM I noticed that often there would be a few struggling a bit, with several hundred seconds between shares submitted. My guess is that this was because the difficulty assigned by the pool was based on the total MH/s visible through the single IP address of the rig, without visibility into the individual mining units.

For now I've set my rig difficulty to 128. This seems to make the GridSeeds "happier", with more frequent submits. I've used 256 on other pools and have had similar results.

Experimentation aside, do you have a specific difficulty recommendation for GridSeed 5 chip based rigs?

I realize that this has nothing to do with overall profitability, it just affects variability. Although I suspect that in extreme cases it could be that some miner software might inadvertently reset a GridSeed that goes away for too long laboring under high difficulty. Since that could result in lost work, it makes sense to try to "right size" the difficulty for these devices.

Indeed WafflePool does now support X11 and Scrypt-N.
According to their calculation it looks more profitable than Scrypt:

scrypt   vsLTC: 107%
nscrypt   vsLTC: 160%
x11      vsLTC: 135%

I'll be switching to WafflePool shortly this week ; mainly for X11 profit switching mining.
I'll keep CleverMining as Scrypt pool but looking at profitability I plan to run scrypt-n during day time and x11 at night.

I'd be happy to return on CleverMining if/when X11 and/or scrypt-n is/will be supported
