ok, i follow this discussion about the 3K cars since yesterday. In the whitepaper I could find this number, but not whether it will be own cars or vehicles of partner companies. But I read that they start in Manila in October. So we will know it then at the latest

Yeah. If they decide to get that much amount of cars they will need to hire drivers too. There is too much involved for them to get this cars. I don't think it is even possible for them to get that amount of cars.

I remember yesterday someone was talking about them being operational in the US and the Philippines. I've asked and they are not operational yet as they are just progressing with the sale. So that information is not correct. However their first operations will commence from Manila next year.

We got the information that the app is available, but you can only sign up with a phone number from the US or Philippines. and since they have not yet started in the US, we all had the assumption that the APP is already being used in the Philippines. If that is not the case, then I apologize for my impatient questions about the app :-)

That's what I was thinking, why Tachain wants to invest money in buying cars. That will be huge investment at Start and how they are going to expand operations on other countries if they spend money on buying cars

of course, I thought the same thing, I think they're working with some great and then taxi company for starters they will place and run the application Taichan on 3000 taxi in the city of Manila in the Philippines.
I don't read in the white paper they will have their own cars, but they will be introducing the application taichan in the Filipine country, and will start there.

I guess that application already started there and i am also waiting for feedback if anyone has used it.

as far as I understand, the app is available. But they will not start their service until October. Maybe there is still a beta test running at the moment

To my knowledge it will probably be a combination of types of car deals, some will be with other groups some will maybe be employees others contractors i haven't really seen any definitive call for which will be selected for drivers at first

With the right partnership and investors on board I think they will be able to pull this off. We should keep our fingers crossed and hope for positive feedbacks.

I do not think they are changing the nature of the blockchain. But they can change the advertising industry. Maybe this is where personalized advertising finally works.
Today it is still a dilemma. If I buy something in an online shop today, then I get to see advertisements for the same product for weeks afterwards. That's illogical

Exactly it’s not as big a paradigm shift to travel as things like Uber already exist so bringing travel to blockchain was a de facto must but the changes to incentivized and directed advertising is where it’s a huge shift

October is not far anymore. I can assume that they have gotten a taxi company to work with by now since they will be starting soon.

They will be starting from Manila but I don't think it is in October; I think they will begin in 2019? I will try to look it and verify that.

Tachain stated in their White Paper, that they will start with the transportal app in Oktober, namely in Manila. Maybe they decided to move the start to 2019.

Also, whilst you dont want to doubt your own project, you don't start with that much quantity. Take for example a project selling physical goods, they don't (or shouldn't) stock warehouses full of it right from the go, you do lower batch runs and have your warehouse where they make it in in say China on hand for future orders. 3k cars outright, just don't see that being their own.

You do have a point but at same time, it depends on the population of the specific area that tachain tends to start and lets not forget that there are states/counties within a particular country, so i don't see it as much, human activities is on a daily basis and backed with their awareness, i believe commuters will be keen to test out what the brand has to offer

I have no doubts that the commuters would be keen to try out a new travel service but I just don't believe the 3k of cars is personally their own stock, I could be wrong though

I really don't think this should be a concern. For one they could just opt for a model similar to uber. They just pay car drivers for their efforts and that is about it. They really don't have to own any cars.
