Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?!

I think they are only haters of bitcoin because they are victims of scam or else they are the scammers who wants to get bitcoin from others by saying "Dude bitcoin is dead give me your bitcoin". Thats only my opinion about this case. Others also say that time by time minings is harder and harder to mine.

thats true, it is the main reason why it is so bad to have so much scams because it makes the adoption slow down a lot and less people get into bitcoins

This is also one of the major reason why peoples who got scammed call bitcoin as dead, apart from them their are also some peoples who dont have much knowledge about technology and getting wrong information from others and start to think that bitcoin is not good for long term. That is the mistake of the people who easily believe in investment that is too good to be true, I believe most of the scammed people are those who are have easily invested in HYIP and PONZI scheme, because they think once they heard the word bitcoin it is all about income where in fact it does not go that way all the time.

Mass media is where the most manipulation takes place. So when you're looking for BTC, you're usually looking for news articles talking about it. Because it isn't THAT popular, most articles you can find are about thefts or similar stuff, making people not trust it.

When btc will die do you really think they will switch to altcoins instead? Of course not. Think of it as investing in stocks what if a blue chip company goes to bankrupt do you think you will invest your money in penny stocks? I don't think so as btc is the best valued virtual money right now.

Your second point is more correct according to my views as I am seeing that whenever people start to say that there is some problem in a currency then everyone start to sell that coin and its price drop down to bottom so they also start to say like that about bitcoin and they think that with that the price of bitcoin will decrease and they will buy at cheap price.

The big issue around bitcoin were the value it had achieved in the past, those 1000 dollars made several investors join, and a part of them lost money because bitcoin fake pump had no way to find and keep the support at such value. If media showed bitcoin worthing 1000 dollars and now its worthing just 600 dollars some people consider it dead.
