Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?!

Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

Well, let them feel what they believe the price of bitcoin now is not dead and actually it started to rise again and that is a sign of a very valuable asset. People saying that bitcoin is dead are those who only enjoy when bitcoin is progressing but will not hold on when crisis happens.

Those  people  who keep saying  that  bitcoin is dead are those  trolls  out there which  dont  actually  invested  into bitcoin or  have hated  bitcoin because they are just  being  scammed  by other  hyips  and  ponzis. Or  any   day traders  just want to give a  false alarm  to others so that  they would  panic sell and  would  dump the price and thats the  time  they would  buy again.

You are also right but there are some developers who have their own currency and they are thinking that they are able to replace their currency with bitcoin but they are at wrong because if bitcoin will survive then people will also believe on other currencies and if bitcoin  is harmed then no one will believe on any crypto currency forever.

Or their knowledge about bitcoin and their trust is not yet rooted, that is why they panic each time they heard that there is a dump, they start to panic and immediately sell what they own at the wrong time and at the low price and starts shouting "we are doomed!!!"...

Bitcoin is not easy to understand if you do not have the will to learn it and you can only be successful here if you worked for it and has patience whatever happen, that way our faith will be trusted and we cannot blame those people who said that bitcoin is dead because as they say beauty is in th eye of the beholder and they do not see any beauty in bitcoin.

But me, I always believe in bitcoin even before I have not earned from it because I was a complete gambler and bitcoin gives me convenience to do gambling.

Some people use to do that also because of selfish interest to gain from people who do not know much about speculative trading.

They will just predict the downfall of bitcoin so that when the price crashes they will buy everything and when people realizes that the predict is wrong, they will now be forced to buy,then the price will go p and those bad guys will make good money from the price difference for now and as at when they buy.

weaker hands will collapse and panic while those whales will take advantage and full their bag holds normal inside crypto no need to think about it anymore just study the game and play like a pro.

Its more about the magic value that has been reached on the bubble that made bitcoin worth 1000 dollars, since the drop media attacked bitcoin all the years, connecting it to dark marketplaces, and trying to make it fail, bitcoin is recovering and will reach those ammount once again and cross it.

The op was posted 2 years back and bitcoin is still not only alive but it is also prospering as well.Both price and number of users plus number of transaction

I think the purpose is make people or users into a panic so they sell their bitcoin when prices fall, there are two things they want, to lower prices or bitcoin be dead ?
but I think for the future, this specualtion will not be much of a problem, because there are a lot of users and it will be difficult for them

Its mostly because people want it to be dead.  They say its dead in the hopes that people believe that it is, government in general does not like bitcoin for the obvious reason that it is anon and because they do not have control over it.
