I think so. Dusk is planning on concentrating on STOs which are going to be huge in the near future. The ICO market is dying and STOs are the future.

If a transition from the classic model of fundraising for blockchain projects, namely initial coin offerings or ICOs, to STOs, actually happens, the Dusk Network would be one of the first platforms for such a use case. The team is highly experienced in blockchain development as they have served Fortune 500 companies in their own blockchain development projects. However, as their GitHub is not public, it is hard to validate the actual progress of the project for now

ICOs have long tried to escape regulations. Now that there is no escaping them we get STOs. My question is, what kind regulations are we talking about? All the information I get is quite vague and abstract, besides KYC. I want to know what we have been so afraid of all this time.

I think sto's are necessary. Think about it, the company getting millions but you have utility token and it is not very necessary. That token can drop to even zero but the company can be rich. But if they are security, you are taking the share no matter what.

I rather see them developing their platform the right way and not rush things like most of the projects do and then end up abandoning it when they are crushed by deadlines. Most of us are here for the long run anyways.

Yes, we definitely se those entities use the platform. Right now the demand for STO's is increasing very rapidly due to regulations closing in.

I don't familiar with private sale, so I will wait till the DUSK listed on exchanges to buy it.
Of course, I will only buy it if the project discloses something interesting days/ weeks after its start and traded on exchanges with high daily volume.

Not sure what you're talking about. Why do you think only a few people will buy our token? Everyone has the ability to call the contract and get their tokens, however the amount of tokens depend on the time.

I don't know how data can be marketed, I guess its like email bulk purchase ?  I understand for big companies personal data is important but , is there market for it ?

Data is going to be one of the biggest resources in the future. Right now data is the fastest growing one at least. The market for (big) data is huge.

The demand is truly high in the field right now with all the companies doing research and Dusk may prove to be a game changer with all the solutions at single place.

They may not be able to succeed as well as monero for what concerns anonymous payments, but the protocol which allow to tranfer data doesn't have much competition at the moment.

Is Dusk team going to attend any blockchain conference or event somewhere around the world? This would be quite significant to see the reaction from other people on this field since the whitepaper is quite detailed.

Dusk in the real world?

The past few weeks we have been all over Europe to meet partners and contributors to the Dusk Network. Whilst being abroad we took the opportunity to speak at a selection of very interesting events!

Amsterdam: We have presented at Bitcoin Wednesday in Amsterdam. The oldest Crypto meetup in the Netherlands. Jelle Pol our Head of Business Dev. did a 30 minute presentation on Dusk including Q&A. Full video from the event is available here!



London: We spoke at the Certified Financial Professionals (CEFPRO) event, an event centered around technological innovations in AI, ML and blockchain visited by leading banks. We spoke about the development of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and how Dusk is building towards a regulatory compliant blockchain at the protocol level.



Barcelona: The World Ethical Data Forum is the most anticipated event for security and privacy-oriented audiences. During this event our CTO Emanuele Francioni spoke about how our novel technology will solve the antithesis between privacy and transparency once and for all.



Kiev: We presented at the countries largest blockchain event: Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Kyiv. We spoke about the advancements made in Blockchain technology and how compliance is vital for adoption in the real world.
