Could the new pro-Bitcoin White House Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney, also turn the tides for crypto and in particular security tokens?

Will it could be likely since Governments are now beginning to realize the immense benefits of blockchain technology to empower them together with several industries that could benefit from it.

Sto's can be great for the ecosystem also.

Because if Sto's earn good profit they will payout dividends and that need to be in eth or btc (or something in top 10). So, a big area where can cryptocurrencies be used.

I reckon people investing money from now on want to have some kind of return, sto could provide that, the time for icos is probably over  Cool

When will it be possible to buy and sell DUSK?

Our listing on EthFinex and BitFinex had to be delayed by a few weeks. A combination of technical delay and the poor holiday listing climate drove the decision to aim for the second week of January as the new target listing date, most probably between the 7th and the 9th.

This should give our partners at EthFinex and BitFinex enough time to clear the technical schedule, whilst it should be a much more favorable listing period for our investors and people looking to enter in the secondary market.

next year will be the year of the sto according to me have both advantages and disadvantages for example the bounty for the sto almost certainly will require kyc that i do not really like, the positive part is that somehow will bring dividends for their possession, dusk should speed up the realization of the project to be among the first offering this technology (security token / privatechain), one of the first choices in short...

IF there ever will be bounties, for example I didn't see bounties for every STO issued on Swarm (which maybe is one of the reasons that only one tuned out really succesull so far)

What do you take as a scale to call the STOs on Swarm succesfull? Did they reach their hardcap/softcap?

I think it's not possible to say whether it's because they had no bounties or because they were just the first of their kind (STO).

I agree with you, it's not possible to say because of that (an other one can be that Swarm isn't very popular). Btw, I'm talking about TAT token, here is the article https://swarm.fund/press-news/tatmeetsfirstfundinggoal/

Everyone talks about STOs but no one exactly knows how it will interact with the legacy jurisdictions... What do you code in a security token? Equity? Voting rights? Votes? Dividends?
If it's Dividends and equity isn't this a convertible note? Debt?

I think we still have to wait for regulation to follow through this before you make any hasty decision around STOs.

If STO done right it doesn't interfere with the legacy legal rules as per that jurisdiction. Just need to know what type of STO is compatible within which jurisdiction.

E.g. in the Netherlands STO'ing equity  would require a notary deed (from a notary) every time equity changes hands. This wouldn't make it the greatest fit.
Now if we use a construction such as the dutch STAK, we are able to trade economic rights derived from the equity without requiring a notary. Thus making it viable to STO economic rights (which in many respects are similar to equity) in the Netherlands. Its a matter of knowing what can be done, and how it should be done.

so the listing on these two exchanges was delayed due to technical problems, of organization but maybe it's better to start from the new year maybe with better quotations

I just read an article about the difference between STO and IPO here https://medium.com/@Comistar/security-token-offerings-sto-vs-initial-public-offerings-ipo-6a8885ee721a
Its written there that STO has lower costs and complexity, programmable set up, and more simple for global investment.
I don't know whether this article is concrete or not but it gives me insight. Whats your opinion about this article?

Sorry for the stupid question but when you say that you will be listed on the second week of January, does this mean your token sale is officially over? I haven't found any information. And if you finished your sale already, can you release the information about how much you were able to raise in total or is this confidential?

I dont mind they are delaying exchange listing, there is so much uncertainty now that is better to wait a bit and see what new year brings. I am sure lots of project are struggling in this circumstances and have to remodel their initial plan.

So if i hold it in Bitfinex, will the swap be automatic or do i have to do anything to get swapped dusk tokens when the time comes?

I think the main different is that security tokens will be licensed and regulated by SEC and other financial institutions. And investors will be protected from scam. This is themain different. We have scammed many times by fake ICOs etc. So I hope security tokens will be next step in crypto and we will be able invest without risk  Roll Eyes

The SEC's intervention in the crypt bothers me a lot, but this can be a step further this time, unless it's something very strict and narrow, which throws too much of the concept we're looking for. I hope we have news stories related to STO soon, and consequently the whole crypto

Do such constructions exist in most other countries too or is the legal situation of the Netherlands one of the exceptions?

And is this a form of legal arbitrage in which the situation could change as soon as the regulators or government notice such constructions are circumventing the intention of the law?
