What happened with Poloniex could happen with any other exchange, there are not any garantees that changing would be better. In addition, Poloniex has several nice (user friendly) features that other exchanges haven't.

Put WOLF on Cryptoaltex. They're nice guys and they can handle lots of volume.
Poloniex is the most insecure thing ever

Hi All,
Just a quick update to say that I'm away from the computer until tonight, a close member of my family has had a health complication which has taken up my time and thoughts for the past couple of days, I'm spending the day with them today.
I'll be back at the computer later tonight, and pretty much full time from there, at which point I'll respond to all pm's, orders, and update the thread.
Speak to you all later, and best regards.

we need a new exchange, i am not trading on Poloniex anymore We could try coinmarket......ooopphhhsssss been offline for weeks. We could try Mintpal.......ooooopppphhhhhssss now not wqorking due to 'over capacity' - on Insanity Sunday, Mintpal probably couldn't cope. Get my drift.....all exchanges are imperfect.

I'd give to Poloniex another try... The owner seems honest, and it is a very rare quality today in bitcoinland

I agree with Pompobit. I've had coins taken from exchanges only to see the devs either bail or completely ignore any requests to return them. I sent 180 million IFC to Coins-e months back and to this day they have never been credited to my account, the idiot who runs Coins-e is a scam **** who refuses to communicate. That guy has no business running an exchange. I digress... Tristan has done a damn good job of keeping everyone informed of the situation at poloniex. Yes, it sucks that coins were stolen but at least he didn't close up shop and run away. The guy has balls and moral fiber, very rare in crypto. Imagine if Karpeles had told everyone of the problems at Gox from the get-go and then asked the community for their help and support in fixing things... wow, perhaps that idiot wouldn't have lost his exchange and $millions in customers BTC. Thinking back I'm pretty sure almost every sinlge exchange has had coins stolen at one time or another, the big boys btc-e and mtgox included. I'll give poloniex another chance if he can get everything running smoothly again. Tristan and the security expert he hires will probably end up making it one of the most secure exchanges around.

I am not sure where you get this information but it is not true. I can prove it: I profited both weekends and only play with a fraction of a bitcoin. There was an ample window to sell and make profit, you just chose not to.

I totally agree. That's why I really hope he will offer some shares of his company! I, for sure, will buy some! It's very quiet this week on Wolf... I have the impression a lot of opportunists left the ship, which means there might be a higher profit this week. It might be good to have the total BTC sold this week, as to compare with last 2 weeks: this will give us some indication already!

The first time I made a little less than average selling at 0.0014, the second time I made above average selling at 0.00135. Each weekend the dynamics change, it will not be the same next weekend. But if I did wait until after the buying began I would have sold early, probably jumping out at 0.00115 when the large buy wall was put up - getting a decent 15% profit. Really expecting more than that is pushing it, and brings more risk. 15% is actually really good.

This weekend I'll be selling for a small profit.
Based on the first 2 I think we'll be seeing relatively small profits until around week 6/7 or when the dev runs out of WOLF.
Then things will start to get interesting.

You guys realize that sharing your strategy to bid low hurts everyone's profit?
I don't have time to daytrade on Sunday but if I did here is what I would do:
1. Wait for movement from the whale to place your walls. 2. Keep a mental count of roughly how much BTC has been spent by whale. 3. Always bid 1-2 positions higher than the lowest bidder to force the whale up.
If everyone employed this strategy it would force price up and force dev to climb faster in order to acquire WOLF.

You haven't seen what went on last Sunday. Yes this is what people should do but it doesn't work like that. People don't work together. It's human nature to put yourself first, no one wants to be left holding the bag. It was ridiculous seeing everybody fighting to place their orders lower and lower and lower, actually going below the dev's huge sell wall when they know for a fact that it's fake and he HAS to buy. He must have found the whole thing hillarious.
