After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

I also do not believe in this digital gold or some gold replacement.  You need to have physical assets on hand like gold/silver.  You must also have fiat (even though its garbage).  Finally you must now in my opinion hold crypto.  It's a brand new asset class which may overtake fiat so you need to be in just in case.

I think bitcoin could be a digital gold. Although i know the perspective you are coming from but also remember that real gold is not digital but bitcoin is, so within the "Cryptotic" world bitcoin could be digital gold.

Well, the main idea and motive was to make it a safer way of making electronic transactions but we the adopters made an add-on onto the technology by taking it to a whole new level and making it a digital asset. This doesn't kill the dream of making Bitcoin a safer means of making transactions. There are companies and stores accepting BTC as a form of payment.

I actually do believe in the digital gold theory. Bitcoin is here to stay. I don't see a foreseeable fuukture without bitcoin. Having said that, bitcoin is scarce too. Like gold. It's supply is limited. Much more than gold supply on heart. People like to collect it, just like gold.

So, for these reason, I think bitcoin is a good store of value, just like gold. Well even better, because btc is funnier Than gold Cheesy

but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

That's a pretty healthy attitude towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

I think people call it digital gold because of the way it may eventually emulate gold in terms of market value and stability.

I'm not cool enough to have a fancy signature so you're stuck reading this

I think that the comparison with gold is also from the price of bitcoin))) Well, this status also supports its identity and discovery. It is absolutely normal and compare it suits him well.Yes, and the icon looks like a gold coin)))Many it have earned more than lost on this if it is considered gold, why not?), Let them think so.

The definitions for Bitcoin will vary
Everyone looks at it from his point of view
But what really matters is that everyone works to achieve their goals
Financial freedom is a great goal that deserves great effort

It doesnt matter if you advise against it or not.
At this point of BTC evalution,  it is much more an asset as it is an currency, I would like that BTC would be more accepted more now.

I agree with you. Bitcoin is a currency and is likely it will be the main (or one of the main) in the near future. But for many at the moment, bitcoin serves as a means of accumulation, so it is often called digital gold. All because bitcoin, like gold, has the same features: limitation, anonymity, growth in value. What makes gold and crypto currency even more similar is that bitcoins, like gold, can be mined.
But the future for new technologies. Players in the gold market are exploring blockchain technology in the context of turning gold into a digital asset. And it says a lot)

Bitcoin has made investors richer than gold in recent times. This brought a profit of 1,116%, far exceeding the 12% that gold brought. The crazy thing that I think about is that I believe Bitcoin in the future will replace the role of gold.

If we are going to put basis on its value we can say that it is considerable as gold. Because the value of the bitcoin is almost like gold it is becoming more precious like gold and it is amazing because it is only a digital a numbers we cannot even touch it but it's price is amazing. So then I believe that it is considered as digital gold.

At the moment I do not think that bitcoin is digital gold. But maybe in the future, but very far, it will happen, although I doubt it very much.

We should not compare bitcoin with gold. Because they are not the same. Big money like Bitcoin since its appearance has been compared to gold, as gold is considered an investment for any time, even when fluctuations or inflation happen. The bottom line is that gold and bitcoin are not the same, and those who think that bitcoins will work the same way as gold do so a big mistake.

I'd rather call Bitcoin a "gold rush," especially after it skyrocketed late last year. Cool

If the basis is because of its price yes it can be considered as a digital gold, its like in the old days where people trade with golds and silver. But because of technology we are now trading with digital golds

If we are talking about the price, bitcoin is like a gold because bitcoin is very expensive even though the price is falling but its remain expensive so I agree that bitcoin is a digital gold. If someone mine a gold they will be rich someday right? just like when we are keep investing and focusing our time on how to earn bitcoin there is the possibility to be rich someday because bitcoin is expensive like a gold.
