With all the negativity why do people still invest in Gulden?

because it is a coin that can go up 20 times in value and still be cheap. The development is top 10 but It has 1 problem and it has nothing to do with the coin itself.

I plan to buy 2 million coins after the increased dev reward at 50 sat. Its a good coin that might get a lucky break in the future.

I see this thread has returned to life.

Total supply for Gulden is 1.68 billion, current supply is 518 million according to Coinmarketcap.com

Another crypto I am invested in is Digibyte, already made 4 times gains with what I invested in the last year and still not going to sell. The supply and reward isn't an issue for Gulden because digibyte has a current supply of 13.4 billion and the price is 227 sat vs Guldens 80 sat.
Digibyte will have a total supply of 21 billion which is 4 times more to be mined than the total Gulden supply.

The question everyone should be asking is this, Why is digibytes price 3 times higher than Gulden with a current supply 26 times that of Gulden?

What Digibyte does better than Gulden imho.

1. Jared is well liked by the digibyte community and he treats people with respect whether it's negative or positive feedback. Also puts himself out there to do meet ups and conferences.
2. Better marketing
3. More exchanges

What does Gulden do better than Digibyte.

1. Development

I made 3.7 btc profit on digibyte, its a good time to be in Btc and Eth as they will be pumping first.

Digibyte is one coin that has done well with high inflation , have to give lots of respect for 13.4 billion coins and triple Gulden price.

As a long time supporter of NLG , I can say this coin is genuine with its attempt to improve crypto. I have invested in over 40 coins since 2012 and more then half have failed and no longer exist, some are still traded but development team has left them for good.

This is why I appreciate this coin more as it has a stable team that have been dedicated since 2014 and have produced great development results.

7 coins have made me excellent profits,  a lot more then Gulden but I know deep down its due to manipulated markets, false marketing and over promising on what they could achieve. ETH has made me a lot of money and that team has not delivered on its initial promises and very slow to implement new changes.

The development reward going up is necessary to keep Malcolm from moving to a different project. I can only imagine the amount of offers he gets to join other projects. This is why i think its going up and its a good way to spread the load on everyone involved. Instead of expecting a few people in the community to pay Malcolm every month for nothing in return.

Projects like ETH, waves, Cardona etc got more funding then Gulden devs could dream of yet this team has done better development in some areas.

Gulden is the most under valued coin on coinmarketcap in a fair world.

You should come join the Gulden slack its a lot more active and with people who want to see Gulden succeed. Btc talk is dead these days.

I purchased Gulden because I like what it has to offer. Witnessing is a brilliant concept and I am running 3 witness accounts for 3 years. I didn't buy gulden to get rich but support a crypto that is doing good development because the fiat system is not going to work in the long term. My wish is that one of the other cryptos that are blessed with lots of funding to pick up on witnessing and use it for a wider audience.
I can with a clear conscience say I invested in the first project that developed witnessing and not only a coin to make profit.

I also have other crypto which I am using purely for speculation because they have a lot of money involved to make them look good.

Gulden had lots of rich investors that did not get on with Rijk, the GAB came too late as those investors have gone but for new investors the GAB is very welcoming. Rijk is not a people person like Jared but his development team is very good. It's the reason I will stay with Gulden for a long time.

It's impressive what Digibyte has done, I will find the posts when digibyte and gulden were the same marketcap. Today Gulden would need a price of over 8000 sats to compete.  Digibyte has gone up another 30% since Disbelief's post @288 sats.

With all the negativity Gulden is charting to go to $0.075 by December, add in the increased dev reward if it's still taking place this year and the more realistic figure is $0.055 .
I would recommend they wait for a month and the increased dev reward won't be needed.

What other options do the devs have to increase funding but also giving a fair deal to investors?

if the reward change is taking place the price will go under 70 sat in the short term, the devs will make +-50 - 60%% more each month because the price won't go to 40 sat. With the extra % profit they will need to get Gulden added to new exchanges to counter the extra 40 reward. The more exchanges the higher the price will go.

Crypto is entering a new bull market and Gulden will go along for the ride along with all the other alts.

The other option is to reduce the mining reward to 20 and witness to 20 and the block reward will remain the same.

The kindness this community has shown towards other projects in the crypto space will bring positive flows and energy to all that surround themselves with this great crypto. Please support Gulden.

You about to get a lesson on why increasing any supply at a faster rate makes the value of that object less valuable.

I Disagree, I am in the next update and people are talking about me all the time. My personal desire is that I am a repeat update, loving the attention.

Got a asked from a m8 who invested in this coin to explain why the marketcap is a disaster. Its really simple you need more exchanges, I look at the exchange pairings and I ask myself what if bittrex ceases to exist. The price will drop in half overnight because you won't have a place to trade it.

That’s why Gulden is developing an exchange.
