You can't compare someone like Rijk who has a full time job to other founders who can work on their projects full time. Bitvavo listing will change the course for Gulden and with a higher stable price Rijk can quit his job and put effort into Gulden.

Bitvavo have decided not to add Gulden at this time.

My conclusion is that businesses in the Netherlands have no interest in adding Gulden until Gulden is already a success. Malcolm has created a lot of tech that is going to waste in the Netherlands and I am sad to say this but Gulden should go international and start with the asian markets who will appreciate witnessing and cpu mining far more then my Dutch counterparts will.

After 7 years of Dutch citizens not embracing Gulden... well they can't complain if they miss out. Really fuck them if they complain when the price is high and other countries citizens own more Gulden, they had more then enough time. Bookmark this post for future complainers.

Does all the funding go to the dev trough? Well played devs well played... I will paste my nlg address for a refund.

Without the reward change and this news the devs would of quit due to lack of funding. The reward change saved this coin from a rank > 2500 on cmc.

It was ranking > 1600 before the reward change announcement.

Don't worry in another 8 years it will get better, keep the faith.

The reward change was good but please no more reward changes. It's in a perfect place as it is now!!

Trying to convince one of my friends who is a early cardano adopter to buy some Gulden. At least 200k, crypto market is volatile and Gulden generally has a stable price.

Manage his expectations, Cardano has Charles Hoskinson who is out there daily promoting the benefits of Cardano. Most cryptos are in the same situation as Gulden and unless you on good exchanges don't expect much movement in the price.

200k and a bottle of copium. The only winner is the owner of the dev trough wallet.

What price is needed for Rijk to quit his job and put 100% effort into Gulden?

Don't quote me but from what I remember on slack when the reward change was discussed. +- €0.04c and the development team can be permanently on Gulden, including Rijk.

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/gulden/eur

Current rate is 0.014, a stable price of 2.8 times more then current price and the outlook for Gulden changes drastically. I would like to see Rijk given the chance to go conferences, promote gulden on podcasts, popular youtube channels etc.

I personally think €0.04c is not a unrealistic stable price, from my own experience working 48 hours a week it would be hard to compete with coins where the founders have the financial resources to work on their coins 24/7. Respect to Rijk for having full time employment and working on Gulden in his free time.

Rijk only knows one mode and that is beast mode, with all the value and work he has put into Gulden for 7 years and still does not abandon ship is quite remarkable. Imagine what this guy could do if he wasn't part time on Gulden, I am thinking 100x within a year.
Has Rijk confirmed what the price needs to be for him to quit his day job?

Syscoin and Gulden had similar starts. Both founders weren't rich but the syscoin team took on a lot of financial risks themselves which Gulden always used a premine, development reward to negate most financial risk. Syscoin did add a once a month reward for development at a much smaller scale but  this allowed the syscoin team to continue full time on the coin.

What both teams have risked is time into both projects. Rijk with all the development he has done while working is mind blowing, if I have advise for Rijk is that he must not burnout and I hope he also gets to a situation where he can be permanently on Gulden.

What about the money raised for the bitvavo funding going towards Rijk on condition he quits his job and makes his hobby Gulden, his job. It will be beautiful to have his talent on Gulden without other distractions.

My friend has purchased some Gulden, and more to come because of the cheap price.

I look at other coins and everything looks overpriced except for Gulden. It's clear exchanges make a MUCH larger difference then development quality after 12 years of crypto existence. When i look at coins listed on binance, I normally divide the marketcap by 10 to get a value of a token incase it gets removed from binance.

This is right, if EFL was still on bittrex we would have a higher marketcap then Gulden. We also lost our main funder to GRS, EFL had the potential to be listed on binance if it wasn't for GRS.

Who is constantly suggesting Rijk has any other job outside of Gulden/Florin/Centure is spreading false information and I really don't know how people got into thinking that.

Centure.com is his only business which includes everything regarding Gulden.com, Florin.org, Blockhut.com and development of the projects and wallets.

What makes Gulden strong is the undeniable patience of it's community. It's a crypto cult waiting for Rijk to do slightly more than zero effort. This coin rides on it's name and past emotional connection with the Dutch. Case in point the failure of the new coin because low effort = low reward.

The Developer Malcolm and the new kid on the block Rob has prolonged the downfall of this coin. The community also stood up and asked for the supply and reward change. Rijk seemed more than happy to let the coin slide into river styx while not approaching investors, pursuing exchange opportunities and exposure of the Gulden brand.

Without this change the coin would already be in the underworld.

Rijk is only responsible for the development and maintenance of Gulden. The Gulden Advisory Board helps with the rest but because funding is low, there is not much money left for the Gulden Advisory Board to do marketing after the development is paid. Development is the most important for the survival of Gulden and this is why most of the community stays with Gulden.  Robby is doing good work with promoting Gulden in the Netherlands.
