I see the team has a new coin, if I were to invest €2500 into Gulden or Florin which one would you go for. Reading the comments it looks like Florin is the one to invest in from this team.  Gulden feels better because I can buy 275 000 coins and not much florin but I do understand florin supply is waaaayy smaller.

Florin, it has a new investment company that has purchased the premine. Last development from Gulden was the reward halving, all development last year was done on florin and will be this year the same I think. I sold all my florin during the pump and purchased some coins below 140000 satoshi which is a good buy. This price will double or more soon.

Gulden is the original blockchain but has no investment company to help it. Development was fast until 2019 before Novo was created, Novo was the original coin name for florin.

Gulden can still make 10-15% profit this year but better off making money in stocks or other coins but Gulden price will be low but stable.
Check github and tell me where more work
Weird comment about the development. I only own Florin and since the pre-sale litterally nothing was developed other than the first basic wallet, which is a direct copy of Gulden. After that no development, only development i see by the team is multiple updates of Gulden wallets and a total new witness sync system that is about to be finished. They added a front end developer, only working on Gulden if i check github. And contracted an extra core developer to fix a bug that is only in the Gulden project.  So statement that all development goes to Florin: how do you see that?

Florin already have 7 versions and last update was done for Florin. Also changing the name from Novo to Florin must of taken a lot of dev time.

I am not complaining as I also own Florin but I can see where the attention is and with Rijk receiving lots of money from new investors he has no choice but to make Florin first and Gulden development if time.

Check github and tell me which project has the most lines of code written. It is Gulden by far. The last update for Florin was literally just a request by holders to lower the transaction fees. Which is like 5 minutes of coding. Where for Gulden thousands of lines are written for Witness sync. Over a year of development but cannot be released due to the bug. But the code us there. So your opinion is bs.

I was dissapointed to read that 1/3 of the exchange funding has gone towards development to fix a bug. Not because of the development or bug but because Gulden reward is paying for it. Rijk and Florin has benefitted from 7 years of Gulden development, the Gulden community that has split attention and split investment into Florin. This is acceptable because Gulden is open source but with all the money Rijk made from the Florin premine purchase you would think florin could give something back instead of taking, taking , taking. People I have spoken to in private view Florin as a blackhole sucking the life out of Gulden for a few peoples benefit.

The GAB is made up of the same people that is part of the group that have large investment in Florin, this can blind them to the above reality.

Isnt the Gulden dev reward made for being spend on Gulden development?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

No one expected it to be taking care of Florin development too. The one thing that made Gulden unique, it's development has been hijacked by it's own founder to create a new coin with the same development. What is the point of Gulden? tbh I done with this after reading Rijks slack posts.

but is it taking care of Florin development? You can Fork Gulden yourself also. It's open source. Next to that, Florin had an own premine for development and in the statement Rijk put on slack it says that even though the premine is sold, budget for development is guaranteerd. So what you say makes no sense. Florin can pull its own weight simply.

What about development time, same developers working on two projects. The Gulden dev reward does not stop paying out while work is done on Florin? Florin can stand on its own but uses the same developers and community?

So if you yourself fork the project now, you get all work done by previous development FOR FREEEEE! Lets gooo

Too many dumpamentals outweighing the pumpamentals currently for NLG. I try to pass gems onto the community but only a few listen. Their is lots of negative sentiment and while Rijk's comments are fair, it's not material for those on the suicide watch list.

Hi all,

Please can you take your concerns to the Gulden slack or I can address them at the official announcement page on bitcointalk.

I am guessing most people here don't actually take themselves seriously when posting misinformation but please feel free to send me a message in private if you have any questions.

They must be rich. €50 * 50000 XLF = €2 500 000. Rijk made a lot of money from the promised airdrop premine but I don't think people care because the price is high and only going higher. I would only be upset if I put all my coins in a holding account expecting the airdrop but investors and traders will be happy and you can't keep everyone happy.

At the time that the premine was sold and handed over to other people, the course of the price was around 3 euro. So these investors didnt pay 50 x 50000 xfl.
So you're whole calculation is wrong
The premine is 45000 not 50000 and obviously an investor will not buy them above marketprice in such a deal. So the market price of the premine was around 120.000 euro , so not a lot of money.

" I would only be upset if I put all my coins in a holding account expecting the airdrop"

Well, since no single detail was ever released on the specifics of the airdrop, that is kind of the own decision of the people to lock everything up with a long locking period...

And if they did: every holding reward they score from those accounts is now worth how many % more than before the situation changed?

Are you still able to commit time needed to both Florin and Gulden and if not are you planning to handover Gulden to someone else to manage?

c'mon Rijk has been grinding on Gulden since 2014. He obviously works hard on the coin but he is trying to make a point that Gulden is decentralized and it's greatest strength is to have more people involved doing what they want with Gulden.  No Key man reliance like a lot of other projects have.
If Rijk dies tomorrow Malcolm can fork the coin and have the dev reward paid to another address and life carries on.

Gulden reward every 5 minutes = 180 NLG *  0.007 = €1.26 =  €362 per day
Florin reward every 5 minites = 0.1 XFL * €75 = €7.5 = €2160 per day

Whales are manipulating the Gulden market. Gulden only creates €362 per day and Florin €2160 per day

The right people have gotten involved with Florin, Gulden has a few rotten apples it needs to shed before the course can be corrected.

If all the available florin and gulden supply was dumped at current prices. Florins available supply is worth 14,070,816 and Gulden 4,583,79. To give you an idea how surpressed the Gulden rate is.
