People always like to use ETH and Bitcoin to compare with each other because they hold different coins. For example, most of the coins I hold are made by ERC-20. I hope ETH can win!

Two of these coins have a positive impact on the growth of digital currency. And I won't compare the two coins, because in my opinion the coin which until now it could continue to experience growth is BTC. BTC up until now has a very high value and this is the first coin and becomes the King of coins. And ETH is indeed a very nice coin due to the many projects that use the platform of the ETH.

People always compaire ETH with BTC telling us that ETH is the best cryptocurrency. I really doubt that because looking at these two coins, although they are all blockchain based currencies but to me BTC is doing far better than ETH. BTC was created before ETH but look at the performances and judge it yourself. I really do not want to talk much about this issue. Guys what do think about what I am arguing about?
I totally agree with you, eth and btc are different coins that perform 2 different roles in the crypto world and cannot be compared. And the argument that eth will overtake btc is meaningless will not happen. |

I agree with you. It's the worst thing a young crypto-enthusiast can do. You will understand, Bitcoin and Ethereum, it's like heaven and earth. They are in the same space, but completely different.
The fact is that beginners do not see differences between cryptocurrencies, they only see an asset that should bring money, and they think that they should choose something one. I would advise newbies to explore interesting projects and find out what bitcoin and ethereum are. |

There is really no need for ETH and BTC to compare. I am also wondering why someone always asks such a question. In fact, there is one simple truth that allows us to avoid discussing this boring topic.
If there is no BTC, then ETH is nothing.

I don't compare BTC with ethereum,because both are absolutely different story, first one is digital gold and another one is king of ICOs.
You should have both of them in a good portfolio

BTC is recognized by US goverment and ETH is not, so it is clear win for BTC. In addition, ETH felt much lower than BTC and chances for recovery are lesser.

I also agree, only fools compare ethereum with bitcoin. whereas the function of these two coins is clearly different. bitcoin will be pure crypto and ethereum is a platform that makes coin making easier. so comparing these two coins will also not make their prices go up. so it's better to stop discussing this. |

the opinion that you convey is very true btc is a crypto currency whereas eth is an crypto alternative currency so it is different in my opinion in terms of choosing I think it depends on the investors' beliefs themselves with the coins they will invest right |

Well, in my opinion i believe each of them existed for totally different purposes which should cut the arguments. Then the price is only showing how much people value each project not the actual value each project carries |

yes , I think we should not compare Ethereum with Bitcoin . Bitcoin is always the number one because bitcoins are created before ETH and other coin , no coin can compare to it.

ETH proved that it is not able to hold, when the entire market falls. BTC lost 50% of value while ETH lost 84%. There is no way to compare them.
Almost all altcoins lost more value compared to bitcoin and it is not difficult to understand why, the market cap of all of those coins is smaller so they are subject to even more manipulation than bitcoin and when you take into account that most of the market cap of ethereum comes from icos and that icos have been negatively affected then it is not surprising that ethereum has lost so much value. |

Bitcoin is the biggest cryptocurrency if we look on its current market cappitalization. So it is obvious that Bitcoin is the number one for more people than Ethereum. It is hard to say, which one is better, it matters on which parameter we are looking. |

From a general point of view, Bitcoin and Ethereum differ in purpose. While Bitcoin is created as an alternative to regular money and is thus a medium of payment transaction and store of value, Ethereum is developed as a platform which facilitates peer-to-peer contracts and applications via its own currency vehicle. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are strong coins. Bitcoin is a digital gold and no one can overcome the original cryptocurrency. Ethereum is a king of smart contracts, and maybe after few years there will be a real competitor - but for sure not now.

Unfortunately, people are making comparisons in order to increase the value of ethics against btc. I was wondering if I could replace eth btc at the time, but unfortunately, I don't think that such a thing will happen anymore.

It can't be helped. Since both BTC and ETH is under cryptocurrency, we cannot avoid the competition and comparison between the two. And yes, I believe ETH is far better than BTC in terms of confirmation but, BTC has its own advantage. I believe, it is best to just respect everyone's belief regarding on what they think is better between the two. |
