after shutting fluttercoin down, loading my wallet, and rescan, i'm now trying to sync additional blocks.  I checked explorer, I'm trying to sync blocks on the other chain again!

I get your point, but it's not like we give 500 coins to everyone.We could reduce it to 5 coins per person.It's not much but it will create interest in the coin and help grow our community, besides I think it's not worse than donating to faucet.Or we can give 5 coins to everyone who registers in www.fluttercointalk.com  and leaves a message about fluttercoin.About me registering at www.fluttercointalk.com (if you were referring to me), I'll consider it and when I register I'll give me 5 flutters  
Even bitcoin had faucets giveways.Does that make it worthless?. What's about twitter tipbot giveaways like Jeff Jefferson said?
I'm more than willing to donate if someone takes that task to create promotional video.The fluttercoin has one dev as far as i'm aware and I think he doesn't need that 10 coins.

you do realize that giving a couple FLT a day isn't going to tell people "oh, that must be a totally worthless coin" i mean there are faucets for EVERY coin, even BTC. Plus what is your opinion on all the twitter tipbot giveaways? totally useless?

Faucets are for people who don't know about fluttercoin and want to get to know it. Plus they might experience PoS through a faucet.

And it is really too much of an effort to try to scam coins from faucets because a faucet gives away only very little coins per day. Additionally every good faucet has securty measures like captchas and so on. Of course there are different ways to trick the security measures but it isn't really worth it. I'm not talking about giving away thousands FLT a day. Maybe 5-20.

We have a same idea but with different approach in terms of implementation.

I do like the idea to "reward" people for what they do - don't get me wrong.  But giveway should not be the main approach, that's my point.

I propose to organize an IRC metting soon to discuss all those topic.  I want to get a clear idea of the "manpower" avalable to promote and developpe FLT.  I guess you are like me and you want to help as much as you can ?

As "reward", we could target:

- Creating a Twitter account and tweet (or retweet) some specific meessage - link (mostly about PoT).
- Posting an promotional article on a board.
- Registering and posting on www.fluttercointalk.com
- Sending me a pick of a naked pretty women (extra FTL if she have a FLT tattooooo)

Etc.

Aniway, we will figure it all at the meeting!

PS: I don't know who dumped FLT this morning, but hell yeah !  I bough 400 000+ at 250-260 and I've still an order at 277 for 200 000+ !   I'm now near 2M FLT - I guess Im approaching the rich list

http://flutter.miningwith.us has been taken down due to forked chain, resyncing it but, the chain was definitely forked.

i understand your concerns. But a lot of people aren't using BTT but twitter and so on. And if we want to approach new users a faucet is way easier. You don't have to register and so on. Even if you just wanna "scam" some free coins you might discover that flutter is quite awesome and stick with it. Plus more people would benefit from PoS if there are hundreds of faucet transaction per day.

You are still concerned that faucet isn't the right thing or was I able to convince you?

About the price: I think someone is suppressing it and dumping below market price in the hope that it will trigger a panic sell.

PS: I'm far from to make it to the rich list with 300000 coins, but regardless I will help as much as I can, cause of fundamentals of this coin.

Guys I have some problems with my wallet.

Now, It's the 3rd time that I try to sync my wallet and every time I have a different total block number, like the wallet is syncing on different chains. Why?
What should I do? Is my coin safe?

All nodes need to be on the same blockchain, please let's figure out a way to get them all on the same blockchain.

Only way to sync to the correct chain is to limit your nodes to the ones that are on the correct chain in your setup file.

Do we have a list of nodes on the correct chain?

Just got home today and seen the coin is still messed up? Has anyone heard from thekidcoin about anything? I cant even load my wallet anymore. Ive tried deleting 3 times now and every time it gets stuck and causes my computer to lock up. I tried the .conf from the first post. I even tried no .conf and still cant load the whole chain. Last I saw fri night was the hashrate was at like 500k. Is it asics screwing it up? We should just get rid of PoW all together if so.

This is record low volume, 0.477btc 24hr on MintPal.

Coin is dead as it is currently, needs a new checkpoint so we can ignore the wrong chain, otherwise your client consistently is trying to match up the blocks and you get a continuous flow of fail fail fail invalids.  Best course of action is to try limiting connections to 5 and see if you can locate them on the right chain that matches explorer.  It also is a serious issue that the pools are not synced to the proper chain.  It will get sorted out eventually, just the Dev has to work in it and he may have other things going on,
