It’s certainly a lot more achievable than before?

Before was almost impossible.
Now is possible for sure now everyone is incentivized to set up a custom trust list, this can be also exploited but with more people on DT2 we will get more people tagging for exploiting.

All it takes is some unhinged ramblings from Timelord2067.

I can see the intent behind this, but I'm definitely feeling screwed over by bullshit feedback.

I hope that current DT members look into these feedbacks and fix them, either by countering them or by asking the DT member who gave the negative trust  to remove it "if it's a false accusation with no solid proof"or by untrusting / tagging him as a last resort.

i don't see that  happening too fast and easy, but the current system kind of allow current DT members to tweak the list , i hope it gets used for a good purpose to defend the innocent and punish the guilty.

People on Default Trust are under no obligations. So I'm not getting my hopes up. They might feel the need to clean up their own feedbacks left for others (like TMAN was saying above), but exclusion or countering negative feedback is a whole other issue. There's a lot of social pressures there. I think that usually only happens among prominent members or in really egregious and visible cases. Most people will probably just be ignored.

That's why I'm just hoping someone excludes Timelord2067 on the basis that he's tagged lots of other people without actual evidence too. I guess it's just a regular thing he does. (I'm sure there's legit tags too, but it's an obvious problem) So this is sort of a litmus test for me regarding whether this system can be just or not.

Being in DT means that other users are less likely to include you in their custom lists explicitly. This should change next month. I expect the next list to be bigger and more diverse so brace yourselves and work on your trust lists. I have reviewed mine and I think I'm ready except for one scammer. Anyone knows how to exclude TradeFortress with his shifty name? Or perhaps he's already on theymos blacklist.

Uh-oh. So if I send 10 merits to 10 people trusting me then I'm in DT1? That doesn't sound right. Perhaps merits sent by the candidate should be excluded from the calculation. Just to prevent the most egregious abuse (or being accused of abuse when none was intended).

Good idea, done. But don't worry too much about this stuff when sending merit or you're going to go crazy.


Since it already changed, I just reconstructed DT1 again, and maybe I'll do it again in a couple of days. Many people can get eligibility just by setting a trust list, so things could change quickly at the beginning. Then I'll aim to do it roughly monthly.

To illustrate, this is how the current DT1 was arrived at:

Static part: calculated only periodically
Each number includes the previous criteria.

- If rank was determined solely using earned merit, then you must be of at least Member rank.
 - You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days.

2431 members

- Your trust list must include at least 10 users, not including ~distrust entries.

100 members

- You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.

90 members

- You must not be banned or manually blacklisted from selection.

90 members

- You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you sent yourself.

23 members

- You must have at least 1 person directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 100, not including merit you sent yourself.

Looks like theymos already explained on the above post,which solely depends on the trust and distrust of the DT1 level member,unfortunately OgNasty  got 1 distrust so excluded but in the next month he may be included.Needs time to settle down tho.

Whatever I understand from OP, trust network working same as before. Only changed on DT1 so DT2 automatically updated. The summary of this post is that DT1 will update every month and obviously DT2 will update as well. However It's looking good that trust network expanding. Selection of DT1 isn't bad but I am bit disagree with merit requirement. Merit doesn't prove that I am trusted. By the way admin decision always welcome and congrats.. who have added on DT1 and DT2 list. Hope you will not abuse your power and will help forum to keep scam free.


I will request to someone from DT1, Please add ICOEthics  on your trust list. Since he have exposed many scam ICO's and help peoples. Although I put him on my trust list but it would be better is some put him on DT2. I believe he will not misused, because even he wasn't aware about how to leave feedback and what is DT. I just explained him whole system. Hope someone from DT1 will put him on DT2, so peoples will aware more about scam.

He was listed under owlcatz. But now it looks like Timelord's name has evaporated from the list entirely. I guess owlcatz must have seen this thread and removed him?

I would think the high and mighty Theymos would have no fear of speaking to a lowly member with no DT status.
Then again the truth can be a very sharp sword.
