I play Dice, but, as it was said by others already, it doesn't matter regarding the probability of hitting 3300x payout. Actually, I gave up on this one because with my current balance, 58k sats, it is pretty possible to lose it all before hitting 3300x, considering that the min bet is 20 sats.

You are likely right that number of people who make 3300 profit in crash game is higher than the people make this profit in dice game and I think the reason is that gamblers rarely bet on 3300x in dice game because they know it's almost impossible. But when they play crash game and see the odd is increasing exponentially, they think it's easier and that's why they risk more. Hope you will hit even in the 5th place, I try also to wager but I realized that there are too many of them who can I compete. That prize pool is a quite huge amount and that is very tempted to join. This will be such a huge thrill, I can't wait to see what the ending will be like. It was already getting closer to 1 bitcoin from the looks of the pace and even the 50th spot seems like it is changing hands time to time, I know that is a small thing but the reality is that windice will probably make profit from this. They are already making a profit on regular gambling so there is no way they can make more money in % sense but in dollar sense they might be making a profit.

Think of it this way if on a regular day there is 10 bitcoin gambled and they make 0.1 of it as house edge, then maybe now there is 30 bitcoins wagered but they are making 0.25 as profit, so in % it is lower but in dollar sense it is higher hence I really do feel like this competition could be repeated many times in the future.

think it is going to be a recurring event at windice , maybe not the exact same format as the first one
as in more or less places and a different prize pool , or even the timeframe , but pretty sure if the contest is successful

The contest seems to be very attractive, especially for new users. If just a bunch of them stay with Windice after the contest it is definitly a success - in terms of marketing.
