Well, I'm with both. But people are here and still gambling because of contests, contests have more appeal here. I understand, not everyone bets only for the contest but most of the gamblers here are contest players. If they gamble without a contest, I think they are the pope, when I always suffer losses in gambling but the contest can save my losses. That's the added value, because not all gamblers here are popes, the majority of them have mediocre money.

That is why I think it is quite important to check the top 5 in general, the more they wager the more top person will wager as well, 10 btc may increase or decrease depending on others, if the second place is 1 btc, then first place would be at most 3 btc, if the second place is 5+ btc then the first place will of course be 10 btc or close to it.

there are gambling sites that get players who wager more than 10btc even in a single day even without a contest going on. not all players are only playing because there is such contest where they can win some bitcoins.

will definitely be participating , top ten spot is relatively easy - have done it twice already 

I think it is more about "at one sitting" type of deal, like when you gamble all together and have a big stat you know your general score and how you do but you may have a huge win once and never again or have a huge loss once and never again but your stats are all crooked because of that one time big move.

However, when you have "stop-start" type of situation you can sit down, deposit money once again, start from zero again and play for couple of hours and see how you are doing at that moment, for the past 3 hours you have been playing x and your returns and this is how you did, this much you have played and so forth, it helps you not to go overboard with what you are doing.

If you are lucky and winning then you can surely stop and take your profit, or if you are losing too much you can stop and give it a break. It helps you see all of that to make yourself a winner for the third time .

I believe the strategy that you played for playing to get big wagered and to get profit is always different. Of course both need big capital to even gain more but to gain some wager amount you do not really need some luck when you do it but when you are getting profit of course you need that luck to bring you a good fortune. ^^ Yeah, but it is still not a fixed thing, this ends and they will suddenly decide to do a new one and will post it here couple days early and we will see another one.

If windice really wants to make more money, they should definitely start to do like a weekly contest thing already, I know there must be some things they need to go over and need to figure out before they can make it a fixed thing because this is for now is something they can decide to just not care about and leave it be whereas if they do a fixed one like every weekend or whatever it would be really difficult to decide not to do it and give up, so right now they are using their "maybe we will decide not to" option but it is so obvious that this will continue to be awesome for a long time so they should definitely consider it.

Yes, this is indeed a very huge progress for this site and the players as well, I saw that the leaderboard keeps on getting good progressing. The numbers of wagering is always higher and higher. This numbers will be increase as the amount of prize too. So if OP want to get more players then they should start increasing the prize numbers as well. For the current wagered amount which is more than 50 btc, let assume that is 1% deduction, they already get 0.5 btc and they currently have already get 0.2 profit

4 hours is equal to 14,400 seconds. Assuming that the user has bet 10 BTC in 4 hours, he has bet 0.0007 BTC every second.
So, he should have bet 5.6 dollar on average every second.

I really don't get it. Windice has an house edge of 1%. If someone wagers 14 BTC to win 0.1 BTC (price for the first place) he statistically has lost 0.14 BTC during the contest. So wagering that many BTC has no sense in my opinion except "look guys how big my pockets are" ... or do I miss something?
