Make we talk true small sef, this loan app people no be am for anything. The way them deh take harass loan defaulters and the contacts on their phones no good. Another thing be say those people no deh let the time reach before them begin scream. I read somewhere say the period for loan to expire na 60 days according to one of the mandates weh google give them before allowing their apps on playstore. But just one week this people don begin scream and disturb their customers and expose contacts on their list. Too bad.

I got a message on WhatsApp yesterday from one of these loan apps. That X chose me as his emergency contact for a loan, that I should contact X to repay his loan or else they will publish our names and give me bad credit history nationally and internationally. I replied I don’t know this person and blocked the number.  I have never and will never use the services of these loans apps. They demand access to your contacts, messages, personal information and reserve the right to use this information however they deem fit should you default payment.
BTW I don’t even know this person who they claim used my number as emergency contact, and the loan company didn’t call me to confirm if I know this person.

The present administration is full of comedians who don't know the difference between crypto and forex. Even the so called "ban" on cryptocurrency isn't effective, Nigeria can give laws easily but find it difficult to execute them. There are advertisement of crypto exchanges all over TV, radio e.t.c we know Nigerian Tv media houses are censored and mindful of government laws. If cryptocurrencies was really banned, there wouldn't be adverts of binance, Patricia e.tc. The "ban" IMO hasn't  affected the crypto industry in Nigeria, if anything it has made more people aware of cryptocurrency.

The ban is effective, CBN is not in control of radio station and other media Nigerians are using to advertise cryptocurrencies, CBN can not do beyond direct bank transactions, the kind of ban is like citizens can do what they want underground but they will bear the risk themselves, that banks are not concerned.

They have been following the lead of the US for a long time, so why should the CBN follow China on something that would have benefited them more? Is it that they do not care about financial profits as long as they are causing pains and difficulties to her citizens?

I class the present government as the educated illiterates. Although, I do not know if they are following China, but just to what CBN pointed to during the ban, but with many other countries included. But, still, they are losers as they are unable to see the benefit cryptocurrencies can provide them just as Vice President once implied.

The way cryptocurrency topic is being handled by FG is confusing. I can’t say Nigeria is anti crypto or pro crypto. Election is around the corner we will hear their campaign promises.

I have used one before, name not mentioned because I am not advertising it. After my loan was defaulted was only the time they send message to me and some of my friends, it took me over (more than) a year before I paid them, they started to call after a year and many months had passed, I think they tried enough. But I see loaning this way as a means many people are borrowing and not able to pay back, also the interest is too much, ₦10000 to pay ₦13000 in 28 days is too much. Sending message to the contacts of loan defaulters is in their ToS.

Guys I go tell you for certain avoid anything loan application I see those people as a bad idea and also they are now carrying out identity theft, some of them dey demand for very sensitive payment of which you give them because you need a loan and did you know many of them aren't register and if you aren't used to reading terms and conditions k highly recommend you check how it's made to suits them.

In my own opinion, I think the political representatives are all old schooled, we all need a chànge in power, I doubt if any of them have got possession of any Cryptocurrencies.

The MOD of some of these loan companies dey very unacceptable. I dey wonder if na so loan application and company dey operate abroad wey dem go dey call numbers for person contact list regardless of the relationship wey the people get just to tell them say Mr or Mrs X wey dey happen to know dey owe money , or if it is just peculiar to us. Make person dey careful with loan applications and company o, some na real scam and fake to just steal your details.

Na that one I no deh fit reason at all. So if someone tell them say them use person name as guarantor them no go get sense to call that number first to confirm before giving out the loan? Those loan sharks sabi say if deh begin call people their market go cast because many people go decline and no go want make them use their names. Their real intention na to get people to commit and collect the loan so they go fit collect the high interest on top am. This thieves no go fit try all that abroad na where people blood deh hot. I have gotten this message over 5 times if different people, I even think this is the new trend, I got another one few days ago. It can be threatening at times as I got one last year while the rest I got was just about letting you know that the person did not pay the money in time. When the person is requesting for the loan, the company will be able to access the person's contact, probably there they got your number.

To lead a country that is not functioning properly is not easy, because we have rank here do not mean we are good politically and also does not mean we have the best intelligence of economy development. The problem of Nigeria is like a family or a person that knows he will have to suffer today for tomorrow to be better (not like recent poverty in the country o), but the citizens will be still be the one to complain.

They do not just give out loans, they check the bank transaction history of the person (the loan site I have used before) to know if the person will be capable to pay the loan or they reduce the amount the person can loan or the person may not be qualified to be given loan at all). Also if it is a guarantor that signed, the loaner have the right to arrest the guarantor if the borrower do not pay the loan, but in this case, the loaner can not arrest you of what you do not know about.

If this is true, then it is absolutely appalling, but can we verify the authenticity of this information, do not get me wrong as i am not saying the information is false, i am just raising such concerns cause having gone through the link you posted on this news, the information was made public by an individual on "Twitter", thus it doesn't give the info enough backing/veracity based on the source.

The thing is, no matter how crude oil prices 'rocket', i am pretty sure the government do not have any intentions to make it show in the daily living of the average Nigerian, i am afraid things will continue to opearate as if there was no such hike. And then again, as for the disparity between the increment in minimum wage in 2009 and 2018, it is pretty obvious that cost of living was fairly good back in 2009, and thus the increase was somewhat 'visible' as it had a positive effect in the lives of people, but in 2018, the increment was just to measure up with the high cost of living and create a balance, thus it is more or less like there was no increase. It is a really bad time to say the least.

Governments will always try its best to invade the privacy of its citizens, they do not by any means want people to have the sort of privacy they deserve, for example, that is one major reason why many of us are in the Bitcoin network, cause of its decentralized nature.
