There’s what we call national dignity, everyone who took our national matter to hold meetings in a foreign land has betrayed our country.

There’s no justification for this action. Disappointed at Elder Statesman Obasanjo he should know better and should have discouraged this.

I personally don't see any big deal with them holding their meeting in London or any other place they choose, and there's no need to compare the activities of our politicians with those politicians in America and Britain, e be like "white man mentality" to me like say we must always compare our actions with their own for validation. The main issue of concern for me is the details and wetin dem resolve for the meeting. If you observe the picture wey Obasanjo dey, you go see say Atiku nor show face for there regardless of say e dey the same london and na OBJ former vice. Whenever money spend by those people people belong to me and you, mostly the Niger Deltans. Also do u Know how much is spent in that trip? If that money is spent in Nigeria it will increase the country's Economy. Now oya look at this. The hotel they paid, the owner will spend it in his country which is making the country Economy to increase because extra money has been sent to the country Economy. If that money was used in Nigeria it would have a benefit to those people that own the businesses and the money would been circulated in the country. Must the meeting be held in London? Do you know how many aids went with each governor or other VIPs. This is waste of government funds because you cannot tell me that it is self-sponsored. What are their sources of income apart from politics.They would never have a meeting in London if it was their personal funds. They are not discussing any issue of national development but how to grab power, distribute political offices and device revenue sharing formula. These meeting can be held anywhere in Nigeria behind closed doors. In fact Wike's private residence in Port Harcourt would be very suitable.

Don't you think you are blowing things out of proportion here bro, to betray the country will take way more than just holding meetings outside Nigeria, take for example, APC have betrayed Nigeria because when they were voted in to lead the country a couple of years back, quite a lot of people had high hopes and aspirations that they were going to be the "change" we so wanted, but it has been the complete opposite since then till now, they have taken the country many miles backward, and the state in which we are in now is prolly the worst in our history. Now that is what you call a betrayal.

Having said that, i respect your opinion that they prolly should hold their meetings within our shores, and whilst i don't think it matters too much where they discuss issues of national interest, i also do not think you are wrong with your own opinion. Prolly that location was the best place all parties could convene at, maybe if it were held at a specific location in Nigeria, some of them might have turned down the meeting for security and personal reasons, thus if they can get a venue that will be convenient for all parties and ensure attendance is complete, then there is no problem with that for now. Don't worry, let us just work together and get our country back, then we prolly might not have to go anywhere to hold meetings of our national interest.

If we are being honest, everything in Nigeria should not be seen as politics because it is dragging the country backwards. Tompolo has been on this contract since the GEJ administration, and the sole purpose was to protect oil facilities and combat illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta. When the Buhari-led administration came into power, they canceled the contract because they felt it was unnecessary, and declared him wanted. Today, the country is struggling to produce 1.2 million barrels per day, compared to the 2 million barrels per day the country was producing under GEJ when Tompolo was on the job. This is for the good of the country, not for political purposes.
