i thought bytecoin have a value, but the forum is filled with spams, no moderator..
the download section it self was not maintained..
but the github have an impulse arround 3 months ago..

There's no reason Bytecoin couldn't shoot right past Dash's market cap, they've certainly been around long enough, and still trading on poloniex. One news whisper and it will moon easily.
IMHO The blockchain still running great with no git push in 3 months is a true testament of it's stability.

You are overlooking one important thing in your analysis:

Amount of available coins from coincap.io:

BCN: 182,688,676,685
DSH: 7,200,274

So.. How is that ever going to happen considering a vast majority of those 7.2m DSH are locked in masternodes?

Seriously, you need to rethink yourself there, it's just not possible. Noone is going to ever pay that much with such a massive *cough premine* amount of coins already mined.

DSH has no premine...

you are right about majority of coins of DSH is already mined, but that's 3 years of mining and counting...I think it is still more fair compared to many coins that were mined in a week, a month to few months, some even turned from POW to POS after all coins (or majority of coins) were mined. (note: some of these coins succeeded on different levels waaaay above DSH market capitalization)

many DSH were mined and it's in the free market, that's why it is cheap..

Yes, the link is downed. I also looking for latest blockchain to replace mine. My wallet was stucked in some blocks 3 months ago for no reason. Refreshing blockchain takes too much time, so I did not perform it...

I'm just synchronizing the client, without bytecoin addnode list:

If you want to speed for a few days, download blockchain and transfer it to the folder.

Windows: c users \% username% AppData Roaming \\\ bytecoin \
OSX/Linux: ~/. bytecoin/

Automatically synchronize the client bytecoin. Remember that even download the blockchain still will take a few hours or days.

Makes 24 hours since I started. It takes a long time!

I have a feeling that BCN can surprise many of us. Momentum just haven't started yet though the huge hype with privacy coins is still intact. I should admit that after some updates and ease to use for masses Bytecoin could be much better than any overhyped privacy coin. Huge supply is an advantage.

According to the bytecoin website, last news were on "Jul 04, 2016". So either it has been forgotten by developers or there is another place where updates are shared... isn't it?

It really sucks the more I look into the project the more it looks dead.  The wallet is one of the cleanest I've seen. The major issue appears to be with the volume of coins.
