Yeah, I wasn't specifically surprised with Man City's win even though I expected a better victory margin, I was just surprised by Real Madrid complete dominance, I expected way more from Liverpool, but I'm not going to rule anyone out just yet. I've seen a lot of bad officiating but this one is worse so far this season, how could VAR ignore a situation like this, cases like this was the reason behind the introduction of VAR into football but yet they keep making the same mistake over and over again. There was no contact between the player and the goalkeeper it was a clean cut goal.

I saw the first half Liverpool were more focused on defending, therefore from that the second half Liverpool's game improved because they decided
to attack after trailing 2-0. Finally Mohamed Salah managed to score a goal in the 51st minute, but unfortunately 14 minutes later Vinicius Junior
managed to add to Madrid's goal. It is true that with Salah's away goals, Liverpool only need to score 2 goals in the second leg. But the problem is
with the poor performance of the Liverpool defender I'm not sure Liverpool can prevent Madrid from scoring goals. So I predict that the one who will
qualify for the semi-finals is Real Madrid.

I am also a little disappointed with the game Manchester City have shown, Manchester City should be able to win easily with the quality of the players

Liverpool got tactically outplayed by Real Madrid in the first half; and by the second half, it was late. Klopp played a high line against Real Madrid; while Zidane with Modric and Kroos exposed liverpool highline to get a deserved win. The gap between both team is a little; Liverpool have the away goal to their advantage too. Would be a good return leg at Anfield.

oha. that was a very close result today in manchester. i had actually expected a high win of 3-0 or 4-0.
but dortmund played well today and almost achieved a draw.but if dortmung shows a good game again in the

Ouep It was a fault and VAR has nothing to do with a free kick. The leg of Bellingham was high enough to break the leg of the goalkeeper if he kicked the ball. What he did was dangerous and deserves a yellow card. If he touched the ball from the downside then passed the goalkeeper without touching him then yeah ok it would be a correct goal but doing some kickboxing or karate stuff in soccer shouldn't be tolerated.

Yeah that was a really weird scene. I mean the rules say, that the VAR should only intervene if the referee makes a clear mistake and even though it does not look like a foul from some perspectives it sure looks like one from others angles. So it probably is a 50/50 scene where a decision in either way is possible and therefore no clear mistake by the referee happened and the VAR did not intervene. It would have been interesting to see if the VAR would have intervened if the referee had not given a foul.

The yellow card is too hard for me though. I mean everything went down so fast and he definitely wanted to play the ball, but if the VAR takes the yellow card back but still says foul it would have created even more controversy.

Agree, all the ways Madrid will definitely do in the second leg later and it looks like it looks easy for Madrid to maintain the winning advantage in this first leg. I am 100% sure there will be no way for Liverpool and Dortmund to come back in the second leg even though they will play at home, a result like this is already a predictable result even though they put in a lot of effort I think it will only be a draw in the second leg.

I can agree with Liverpool but not for Dortmund. Dortmund should have a chance to qualify on the next stage. They just need to make 1 or 2 goals first in the next match. So, the coach must set a strategy to be more offensive, and force Man City to retreat to their defensive area in the first half of the next leg. It is very possible, mate! Don't forget Dortmund has Haaland and Reus!

Indeed, many people predict Real Madrid will win, so this Madrid victory is not a surprise. It's not too bad for Liverpool, after all by successfully scoring
away goals, so Liverpool's second leg meeting only needs to score 2 goals to advance to the semi-finals. There are still many possibilities that could

Over the previous months/weeks in Spanish Laliga league, Madrid had played a pretty good football, the last time they dropped a point is when they lost against Levante at home ground since Jan 30th, on the other hand, Liverpool sluggishness and bad luck is currently pushing them to a wasteful season without any trophy to count on. The fact is that, Madrid is already equipped with champions league experience even if they probably performing poorly in Laliga league. Champions league match makes them create a good version of themselves to play a great football.

This season is very different for Sancho (Dortmund) and Foden (Manchester City). They began in the Manchester City Academy but Sancho had a few seasons a top levels in Dortmund but the transfer drama months ago tend to affect the performance of Sancho in this season. Foden slowly builds up his position in Manchester City and yesterday he scored the decisive goal for his club.

Arnold has a bad match and left many space for Vinicius who has a good match in contrast.
