Kroos and Valverde will also miss the first leg. So will Jordan Henderson but none of this should be particularly damaging, both clubs have reserve players in those positions to choose from.

I hope Naby Kieta stays injury-free though, he and Origi are starting to be played in these CL matches and he's probably going to be difference between us advancing to the semifinals or getting eliminated.

Origi? No way he will play. He's like 6th option currently - Jota is the 1st after the Mane, Salah, Firmino trio and then both Shaqiri and Oxlade-Chamberlain are placed in front of him. A miracle (or something like another 5 injuries) would have to happen for him to start a CL match this season.

We will miss Henderson though, I still hope he'll be available for the 2nd leg so we can play with Fabinho at CB.

Origi definitely no way, not as a starter anyway and certainly not against Real Madrid. If we don't play our full front 3 plus Jota and everyone else even half fit for the away leg, then I don't know what we're doing.

Definitely will miss Hendo but yeah I'm not worried whenever we play the home leg last. I know Anfield isn't quite the fortress it used to be but Europe is a different theatre of war.

If Chelsea thinks the Porto team is a weak opponent, they will make a big mistake. Porto is not a weak team. Despite the low number of star players, Porto is very stable as a team and every player on the team tries his best to fulfill his responsibilities. If Chelsea does not take Porto seriously, they will be defeated.

I think there is no way Chelsea will be underestimating Porto in this draw. They clearly saw what Porto did to Juventus. And Chelsea don't seem like they have such intention. They moved Atletico out of their way with very clear wins in both games. I am expecting the same effort from them again.

Being world Champion has a lot to do with the titles you have secured. Don't get me wrong, there are players that aren't stars or the best of players in there teams bit just manage to be in the better teams and possibly from a better and more competitive country and as such, they get to even be on the bench and win trophies. I'm not looking at that scenario in this contest but then, I'm referring to those players that are actually said to have won the trophy for there teams in this regard. They become world class.
The UCL and the World Cup is the highest trophy any player or team can wish for and should you attain this trophy,  your career in football is more than fulfilled.

Porto have never been a weak team in Champions League after the season they won the cup with Mourinho, Deco, and some great players. They are one of very familiar team in Champions Leauge and usually go through Group stage round. They play very closed matches with Juventus and with this style they will bring troubles to Chelsea.

Chelsea with Tuchel have improved a lot on results and their tactics. They less naively play like the time with Lampard and it seems their defense system has been better. Porto will be a test for them as Porto will take advantage of small personal or systematic faults from Chelsea.

You obviously did not expect Porto to easily beat a team like Juventus, it was definitely going to be a hard fought victory which it was, and that's to Porto's credit for coming out on top, I'm not saying that automatically means they are going to beat Chelsea, but it gives them somewhat of a great motivation coming into this game against Chelsea, and to be sincere, they'll prefer this draw with Chelsea than if they had met either City, Bayern, PSG, Madrid or even Liverpool, so in one way or another, it's a fair draw for Porto, even though the odds are in Chelsea's favor.

I knew Pirlo's first season in charge would always be a difficult one, he didn't have any coaching experience coming into this job, and it'll definitely take him time, as well as cost Juve some trophies, until he finds his rhythm; Juve are going trophyless this season, I can't remember the last time this happened, they always end the season with the Italian league and most times the coppa Italia, with zero trophies at the end of this season, they definitely have to change quite a lot of things, and I hope pirlo isn't one of them.

I agree with you on this so much. As long as Juventus have a lineup that consists of old players mostly, their job will continue to be very hard in the CL. Of course having experienced players at your team is a very important thing. But you should know that the younger the lineup the more dynamic the team.

Porto is the weakest team in this round, no disrespect to Porto but that's the truth, Chelsea is one of the strongest underdogs in the champions league this year, they are still unbeaten, they played Sevilla H/A, Athletico Madrid H/A without conceding a single goal. Juventus is no better than Chelsea this season they have been poor from the start of the season. They had the easiest draw and bottled it.

Chelsea is the favorite in this pair, I think they can beat Porto without any problems. Also in a pair of Manchester City - Borussia, I think Manchester will easily win. An interesting opposition for me will be Bayern Munich and PSG, I would like Bayern Munich to go to the next round. Pochatino is a good coach, but he has not yet created the team that can beat Bayern Munich.

For the first game, it is really hard to make a clear decision as the game is in Estádio do Dragão. We have seen that Porto managed to defeat Juventus home. The playing styles of Chelsea and Juventus are not the same of course but still Chelsea need to be very careful. Chelsea managed to defeat Atletico away and if they play carefully they could do it again this time vs Porto. But there is a feeling inside me that it could end in a draw.

I do not even think it is just 49% for Chelsea to win, I see them having 70% chance to win, 20% chance for a draw, and only 10% chance for Porto to win. I get that they had an upset last time and people are overestimating them right now, but just because they had a good game last time doesn't mean that they will have one again this time around neither.

I believe it is not going to be like that and they will not end up winning anything. That is just what I believe will happen, of course I could be wrong and of course it could be a Porto win but that is why I put a 10% chance there as well, I am not saying they have no chance, all I am saying is that if they played 10 games, they would win just one out of those ten games. That is of course what I think could be done very difficulty. That is just what I imagine could happen, Chelsea is a much better team.

couldnt agree more. Tuchel did a great job. i feel Final could be Chelsea vs Liverpool. Whilst Liverpool is quite bad on EPL, but i think in UCL they still did well.

Chelsea records against Porto in the champions league is very good, it's going to be an interesting encounter, the only problem for Chelsea right now is Kante who came back friend France yesterday due to a hamstring injury, he will undergo medical tests to know the extend of the damage. Porto play an aggressive style of football, the players are highly physical so this cold be a perfect game for Kante operating from the DM
