It looks like all of the Premier League clubs that joined the European Super League have decided to withdraw from the competition. Manchester City firstly decided to do it and Chelsea followed them. And now all of them did the same. Then it means that UEFA won this battle at least for now.

That is true, UEFA won this battle, but I think that sooner or later, it will lose or have to radically change the structure of football in the old continent.

This so-called Super League, was elaborated on the knee. But, it will certainly lead to more clubs from all over Europe, starting to think about doing something, that is viable for everyone and profitable, without losing competitiveness.

Of course, it will not be now that this will happen. But I believe that in a few years' time, big changes will emerge. This was just a sign.

I think in the same way with you. I must admit that I wasn't expecting such thing to happen now and it was so sudden that these clubs founded the tournament. But they stepped back from it for some reasons. But this must definitely be a sign of a big change which will take place in the future.

The clearest choice here was to disband if they believe it would upset fans and cost them money, that is why they disbanded. I am still in shock, I still think that if Uefa wants to, they can actually make this happen instead, and it would be a lot more legit and would really make a ton of money as well, but I still think that this should happen, why people disliked the idea is beyond me.

In any case, Uefa holds a lot of power, they hold even the world cup power which is watched by over a billion people and brings so much money, even the threat of "anyone who plays in european super league will be disqualified from world cup" would be enough to stop this idea as a whole. This is why I think it is quite obvious that we are in a situation where things are not as easy as it looks from the outside. However I do hope that they would figure out a way to come to table and fix things.

Thank you. It is the tournament I am looking for. It has some familiar clubs every summer: Real Madrid, Manchester United, AC Milan, etc. Each tournament has some guests and they will be invited to join according to their performances in the last season. Top clubs in national leagues and have big fan communities are more likely invited to join the tournament.

It is not an official tournament but at some points, it is similar to the Super League.

In my opinion, this European Super League trial wasn't suitable for football anyway. Popular clubs would get richer.  Football is not an industry! Football is just football. That is why even the fans of football clubs that agreed to join this league rebelled. The mistake was quickly reverted.

I actually see this as a dress rehearsal for what is really going to happen soon.
The big clubs are entering a level, which no longer compensates for being limited to the competitions that currently exist. Therefore, I believe that there will be major changes in this direction soon.

In Europe, football has to start to be "seen" more at the continental level than at the national level. This will soon happen.

Pep was very critical of the 'super league' idea in his press conference on Tuesday, and I just hope he keeps his team together for their crucial game against PSG; and the situation is also the same for the other teams.

I don't think that this idea will resurface again very soon. But after some years, I believe we will start seeing fundamental changes in football world. I don't think we will continue to see the same competitions forever. There will be new ones and this time people will get used to it.

This is true, considering that PSG was not included in this super league, it may have been an additional incentive for the game against Manchester City.

I don't know whether it was the right time or not. But I do believe that this is absolutely a sign of huge changes that we can see in the future. UEFA was totally against this move but it should be aware of something that the system won't stay the same forever.

I think Psg will win if Manchester City plays in attack like they usually do and can be hit from counter attacks.Real Madrid should win over the two legs but the fact that Chelsea is completely focused on the Champions by leaving points with weak teams in Premier League make this a difficult encounter to predict.

What the hell were they thinking? A super league? I'm glad to see they've come back to thier senses. Covid denied us of the game we love, I'd hate for the clubs to do the same. The whole idea of a super league is plain stupid. I don't it happening in the near future, we are not ready for that right now or any time soon. The competitions we have now are enough and players get fatigued because of playing multiple games in a week. I salute the teams for changing their decision and correcting their mistake.

If Real Madrid manage to get a win in the first match, their chance will be higher for certain. We've seen how they played against Liverpool in the rematch. Of course the playing styles of Liverpool and Chelsea are not the same but Real Madrid use their advantage really well.

I think for Chelsea to create problems for Real Madrid, they have to build a much better tactical structure, because at the level of quality I think Real is better.

Now Thomas Tuchel has done a good job at the tactical level, which has worked, even when his team doesn't even play good games.
