Fc  bayern confirmed now that Lewandowski has an injury in his knee and will therefore miss around 4 weeks. That means he can not play in both games of the Champions League quarterfinal against Paris. In my opinion bayern was the slight favorite in this matchup before but now i think the Momentum shifts to psg. Lewandowski is just 1 player but he is the best striker at the moment. That was probably the worst possible moment for an injury like this.

It is definitely a big loss for Bayern. Lewandowski has been scoring so many goals and he is a beast. In the absence of him, Bayern will have more problems on scoring for certain even if there are still players who are likely to score. I wonder whether PSG will manage to turn it into an advantage.

@Jackl87 this is horrible news and without Lewandowski it’ll be very difficult for Bayern to win their game, but then again I don’t expect them to go down without a fight which will make this fixture very interesting to watch. Furthermore it’s pertinent to note that Pochettino and PSG are obsessed with winning the champions league and hence this is a golden opportunity for them.

@Juggy777 I think normally Bayern are the biggest favourite for winning the CL title this season. If PSG make use of this advantage and eliminate Bayern, they will get a draw against City (most probably). And the victor of that draw will win the title also, I guess.

It is bad news for Real Madrid who lost Ramos due to injury, Sergio Ramos is a very influential player at Real Madrid. But with Real Madrid's

The fact that Bayern Munchen has good substitutes players makes the team to keep a good morale before the game but let me tell you that players who are coming from Germany squad after the defeat with Macedonia won't show up at full capacity especially players like Neur and Kimmich who got a lot of critics in Germany. Also we all know that in big games of UCL you really need experienced players who can make any chance into goals and right now PSG has more players who can do that besides Bayern.

Experienced players can really help their team a great deal in a tournament like this. But at the same, there is no guarantee for advancing to the next round with players like these also. We've seen how Juventus got eliminated by Porto despite having many experienced players. In the absence of Lewandowski, things will be much more harder for Bayern but still they are very dangerous. They got a huge win against Leipzig today in their league and they've become more comfortable at their place now. This win will boost their morale very much and they will be fully focused on the CL game. On the other hand, PSG lost their game today to Lille home and it can affect them badly before the CL game.

In short, it will be a very interesting and most probably a close game surely.

Odds are really tight (2.70 vs 2.65) so I agree with you it's very difficult to predict the winner. In their 6 last meetings there hasn't been any draw between them, so I will certainly bet on a Double Chance, Real Madrid or Liverpool, if there is no decisive news by tomorrow.

City could prolly win easily against Borussia Dortmund, but Bayern definitely have a game on their hands against PSG, the last time they faced each other was in last season's UCL final, and Bayern won by just a single goal, but PSG put in a very good performance in that game and missed a couple of chances; with this present meeting coming quicker (RO16) and it being a two leg tie, I fancy PSG's chances, unarguably Bayern are favorites, but even if they'll go through, it'll be a hard fought victory.

Neither Manchester City or Bayern can win calmly if we are being honest; city face a dortmund side with Haaland (prolific in front of goal) and Sancho who is having an excellent season; and one thing i have learnt from this season is that league form has nothing to do with Champions league form. It will be an interesting tie and of course i would say the safest bet is both team to score.

Chelsea is good but not good enough. Only a few matches cannot determine their whole performance. Moreover, Porto is always a good team that can bring surprising results. Never underestimate the underdog. They do have the quantities in order to become the last 8 teams. And you know what, my money usually goes to the underdog if my favorite team does not play that match. Those matches always make me satisfy

Like you, I'm of the same opinion that City and Bayern would win effortlessly considering the fact that both teams have been in terrific forms this season - destroying all that stood in their way so far. My major concern for this UCL round is Liverpool's game vs Real Madrid. While our form has picked up a bit lately, we are still nowhere near our top form and might find it difficult to beat this current Madrid team. They've tamed us before in the UCL, hopefully this isn't a repeat. I'm a Liverpool fan, so my prediction is kinda bias.

Liverpool would either win or draw. Then win later at Anfield.
