Ramos got injured again a few days ago and the return date is unknown. But still Real Madrid have Benzema who is very important and vital for scoring goals.

I think if Real Madrid decide to renew the contract with Ramos, he will be used more for Champions League in his last seasons in the club. It would be the same as how Paolo Maldini was used in AC Milan in his last 2 or 3 seasons before his retirement. He was reserved specially for Champions League and almost was free for Serie A matches. In three seasons from 2005 to 2008, Maldini played 30% of his matches in Champions League (22 Champions League matches / 73 total matches)

@Swordsoffreedom I would not rely on Liverpool beating Real Madrid easily, because Real Madrid loves winning the champions league hence they won’t make it easy for Liverpool. Also as far as Chelsea is concerned I feel that Tuchel is riding high on overconfidence, and that may prove fatal when they face against Porto.

Porto isn't a bad team, agreed, but it's a team that every remaining club would be thrilled to get. They are the weakest team remaining in the competition - and Chelsea can consider themselves lucky with the draw.

Bottom line - the part of the draw where Liverpool and Chelsea are (with Real and Porto) is in my opinion a lot weaker than the one with City, PSG, Dortmund and Bayern.

Tuchel has indeed made a difference to Chelsea, I also feel Chelsea can be a strong candidate to advance to the next round. However, FC Porto also an opponent that Chelsea cannot underestimate. They have good performances in the local league and currently in the #2 position, Oliveira, Taremi are the two Porto players who entered as the top goalscorers in the premiera league, Portugal. If these two players are played, then Chelsea must be able to prevent them from entering the defense zone as well as possible.

Made a lot of changes for Chelsea so Tuchel can overcome all this and the players will have more confidence in the opponents they will face, even though Porto has the best players and goalscorers in the local league I don't think it will be even more brilliant in UEFA I just want to know how Chelsea in this UEFA have a good change at least to the semi-finals and to the final.

In order to use Ramos only in the Champions League, he needs to buy a replacement. There were rumors that Alaba will move to Real, but this is still a rumor. In the meantime, there is no replacement, I think Ramos will remain the main defender of Real Madrid in the next couple of years. And Ramos is unlikely to put up with the role of a reserve player.

In quarterfinals any team that you play is a good team, sure I do agree with the fact that if you asked me which team is the weakest in these remaining teams, I would say that Porto is one, but just because he is weakest in the remaining teams doesn't mean that they are a weak team neither, Porto could have faced any team that is left, including the higher up ones like City or Bayern or PSG and they would have a chance to beat them as well, not the biggest chance, but they would have that chance.

People have to realize that even the worst player on the bench of Porto is a better football player then you imagine, a player that never played one game this year in their roster is closer to Cristiano Ronaldo then you are to that player. This is why I think it is quite obvious that we have to just respect and take every single Porto game seriously.

Yeah, I hope the same. It will be a big problem if Benzema gets injured too, Real Madrid should decrease a big power in the attacking line. FYI, Mariano Diaz is also injured now, so no experienced strikers as the substitutes of Benzema. Zidane must have a strategy to keep Benzema healthy, finds they an effective way to play Benzema with a lower risk to get injured.

According to Transfermarkt, he seems like he has recovered from the injury now. Then it is really good news for Real Madrid. Origi? No way he will play. He's like 6th option currently - Jota is the 1st after the Mane, Salah, Firmino trio and then both Shaqiri and Oxlade-Chamberlain are placed in front of him. A miracle (or something like another 5 injuries) would have to happen for him to start a CL match this season.

We will miss Henderson though, I still hope he'll be available for the 2nd leg so we can play with Fabinho at CB.

Porto has the potential to beat a team like Chelsea. They have been able to reach this round by defeating a strong opponent like Juventus. At least I don't think the Chelsea team is better than Juventus. Although the Premier League and Premeira League's style of play and strategy are all somewhat different. So this match will be very competitive. I will not bet on leg 1. I will only enjoy the match.

I think all those players matter a lot. Having an injury will always matter because that usually means even on the best case you will not be able to sub those positions, why? Because you had this main player, he is injured, so your bench player will take place, but the bench will be taken by someone that is not good enough at all.

It means in case of an injury, it is going to get worse, and in case of a fatigue situation you have to keep playing them, basically you are taking out the option of subbing that position out, or doing much worse if you do. That's why I think even single injury matters, even if Jordan Henderson was healthy but on the bench, that would be fine, it would at least give them an option just in case, but this way it is bad. This is not about these specific injuries though, it is about any injury to a starting eleven player.

I'm curious right now of what injuries we will have in this days of World Cup qualifiers as all the remaining UCL participants send the best players they have to national squads and if some of the key players are coming back injured this will weight a lot for the finals teams of UCL.

I know some of the managers are unhappy that this games came just before the next big phase of UCL but at the same time they must understand that a world cup is a dream for every football player.
