Chelsea were really effective in attacking against Zenit yesterday. Even Werner scored two goals in this game. However, they still couldn't prevent Zenit from scoring the same amount of goals as them and getting one point. As Juventus defeated Malmo, they lost their leadership to Juventus unfortunately. I say like that because I was favoring Chelsea for the 1st position at the end of the group stage.

Who would have thought that Chelsea seemed to prefer to be runners up and also, Salzburg who can win and qualify for the knockout phase. Basically when Chelsea were able to get ahead quickly because they scored in the 2nd minute I thought it would be a big scoring win for Chelsea, but the final score was 3-3 and I think Chelsea could have won. Also, regarding Salzburg I previously predicted Sevilla would win because this is a good chance to qualify for the knockout stages, but unfortunately after being 1-0 down Sevilla actually got a red card which made it even more difficult to turn things around. Even though it was clear that Sevilla dominated the match, the final result was still not in his favor and Sevilla returned to being part of the Europa League.

It was quite an exciting game from Chelsea and Zenit considering they hit each other on goal it was something quite good to see. at least this is the best match for me to see in the group stage of this last match.

I also think that Atalanta is somewhat stronger than Villareal but so were Napoli against Granada last year in Europa League and they were eliminated.The problem is that the Spanish teams strangely are more tactical than Italian ones while Italy invented the "cattenacio" a tactic to stay in defense and just score one goal and win the game.It will be a beautiful game to watch and I would bet on over 2.5 goals here as Atalanta needs the win and it will attack.

Barcelona officialy have said goodbye to the Champions League after being destroyed by Bayern Munich by 3-0 in their away match. And I don't think that this result was surprising for anyone. Bayern Munich literally ended Barcelona last night by 3-0 and it is the end for Barcelona in the Champions League too. They are going to be competing in the Europa League by the next stage. I think the Chelsea players were getting to excited and always wanting to score and not defending. The players need to know what their roles are on the pitch. I understand that the coach didn't want to risk anymore injuries. Otherwise Sarr & Christensen are too average. Chelsea only have depths in attack otherwise in midfield & Defence they are poor. Once Chalaboah, Thiago & Rudiger are not playing they get exposed. Same with Christensen if he is not along side Rudiger or Thiago we all see how average he is. Poor defensive organization, they were playing without a leader at the back. It is extremely annoying and appalling. Something has to be done very fast before it will get out of hand. Very bad 6 goals was conceded in just 3 matches.

I agree that Atalanta is better than Villarreal. But the teams are on the same level, and so it will be a very popular game for both teams. Despite that, Villarreal has an advantage for the game, because they have one more point than Atalanta, and so they only need to draw to continue.

That three nil Bayern Munich performance against the average Barcelona team was a solid one and I expected nothing less than that!
The start of the game got me thinking they might not get the win or goals to revenge the award which was supposing to go to Lewandoski but went to Messi who hadn't been in form, but nevertheless revenge has been served which makes us even hope Bayern draw PSG now

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time since many years at UCL that they have finally been eliminated in the group stage.
But indeed opponents from are very difficult to play against at the moment and indeed they haven't even won against bayern in the last 5 matches.

Chelsea had to draw 3-3 with Zenit and made them have to settle for qualifying for the next round with the status of group runners up after another match Juventus managed to get three points and came out as group winners. The round of 16 will be very tough for Chelsea because they will face teams who won the group like Madrid, Bayern and Ajax. They should be able to come out as group winners due to superior goal difference and head to head from Juventus if they managed to beat Zenit in the last match.

It's really frightening what Barca has become. The change of coach has not brought the hoped-for turnaround. Their scores are always striking when they meet and the most difficult to forget is 2-8 which indeed even at that time barcelona was still very victorious because some of their players still dominated like messi, neymar and even their legends were still there.
