In the 3rd ODI match of New Zealand tour of Pakistan today, Pakistan batted first and scored 287 runs in 50 overs. Pakistan team batsman Fakhar Zaman had a bad batting performance. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem, and Wasim managed to pick up two wickets each. Pakistan now leads 3-0 in the series. My prediction is that Pakistan will win the series 4-1.

Congratulations to Pakistan. As I was expecting. Good bowling from Pakistan. As we can see Shaheen Shah Afridi Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim got 2-2-2 wickets. And Agha Salman got one wicket.  In the first match New Zealand made 288 runs but Pakistan chased that target. As the same Pakistan gave 288 runs target to New Zealand but they didn't  chase. By the way New Zealand tried well to chase the target.

Two more matches remain, and Pakistan has won the series 3-0. After the debacle during the T20 series, the ODI series turned out to be a morale booster for Pakistan. Their top players seems to be in great form. Fakhar Zaman managed 180 in the second ODI, which took him to the record books. As far as bowling is concerned, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah are doing well, with adequate support from Haris Rauf. Once again, concern regarding the spin department remains. Pakistan is still dependent on part-time spinners. They need to find a world class spinner capable of troubling batsmen.

When Pakistan scored 287 runs in the first innings, it seemed that Pakistan might not win the match as the New Zealand batsmen were batting on the wicket with a lot of confidence with a target of 288 runs. But due to the great bowling skills of the Pakistani bowlers, Pakistan won by 26 runs with 5 balls in hand. 

New Zealand were all out for 261 in 49.1 overs. By winning this match, Pakistan won the series by 3-0 with two matches in hand. The 6 players who bowled for Pakistan all contributed a lot to the team's victory. 
New Zealand now desperately need to come back as there are only two ODIs left. Hopefully New Zealand will turn around in the next match.

As the Pacers were good Pakistan's spin bowling isn't much of a problem at the moment. As suggested, Pakistan needs to find right bowler as the World Cup is fast approaching. In the third ODI, everyone played well from Pakistan. New Zealand scored, but the team wasn't able to avoid the wicket fall. Anyhow the series is won and the boost could probably make this a whitewash series for New Zealand.

There are rumors that the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will be cancelled. It is going to be a big blow for Nepal. They qualified for Asia Cup, after playing so well during the ACC Premier Cup. And even back in 2006, Nepal had qualified for Asia Cup. Then also the tournament was cancelled due to tensions between India and Pakistan. And now after 17 years of wait, they got a chance to participate in the Asia Cup, and it looks as if the tournament will get cancelled once more. This is not the way to treat one of the most promising teams in associate cricket.

This is the beauty of cricket as batsmen doing their job we have not good support from bowlers but still team doing good but as batsmen not able to perform as per requirement then bowlers done good job for the team and win match today we have good performance from both teams and there was chance for the New Zealand to fight back into this series but sadly three run-outs were enough for them to lose this match with debutant Cole McConchie's all round performance in vain after having result like this in early half of New Zealand inning they were in better shape but suddenly lost their momentum which create problems for them, and they lost this match and series in third ODI at Karachi.

With rumours floating about the cancellation of Asia cup 2023. I found an article that states neither it would be postponed nor it will be cancelled. PCB has given a hybrid proposal but it doesn't make any sense to me. BCCI and now SCB wants the venue to be completely shifted to UAE.

Already Star Sports has purchase the media rights of the Asia cup and I do not think it will be possible for ACC to cancel this tournament. I am not sure of credibility of this article but if you read it full, it does make sense.

Property has improved a lot in Nepalese cricket. The people of their country are playing the biggest role behind their progress. There are many cricket lovers in Nepal who are constantly supporting the Nepalese team. Nepalese cricket fans and Nepalese cricketers have a big dream to play the World Cup. The way they are performing, it won't be too difficult for them to qualify for the World Cup. The way they have improved their cricket even without being directly affiliated with the ICC is really admirable. If you have watched the fielding of Nepali players then you will surely appreciate their game. All in all, Nepal is having a great time of cricket.

They should be proud of their achievements. They have reached this level thanks to their hard work alone. Neither the ICC, nor the BCCI have helped them in anyway. The disadvantage with Nepal is that they are not a very rich country. Only a few kind-hearted businessmen are currently helping the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to improve the infrastructure and to make regular payments to the national team players. But the general public loves cricket and as everyone saw, tens of thousands of fans waited with their umbrellas to watch the game between Nepal and UAE, despite the thunderstorms at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

With these limited available sources they are achieving amazing success furthermore Sandeep Lamichhane contribution is also vital, and now they are having good path for their future in this game which is surely going to have good future in this country even it's never been easy, but they can do improve in coming years in this final they completely outclass UAE which was having good advantage of experienced players from few other countries but in this game they are able to score just 117 runs thanks to Asif Khan inning of 46 runs otherwise this was going to end in double-digit which was surely more embarrassing for them.

Hopefully this success open few new paths for them in near future even I am not confident about ICC and BCCI but still they can do better without any big help in coming days because hard work will pay good dividend to them.

The match of Bangladesh Women tour of Sri Lanka was supposed to be played in 50 overs but due to rain the match will be played in 30 overs. Sri Lanka Women now come out to bat. Scored 156 runs in 28 overs. So far Sri Lanka Women have lost 4 wickets. Bangladesh Women  Good performance in bowling. Sri Lanka Women team batsmen are under a lot of pressure. I am waiting to see which team will win today's match. If Sri Lanka Women team can do well in the bowling line then Sri Lanka Women team will have a chance to win today.

This demand is completely unfair. Although I am an Indian, I don't agree with the stance taken by the BCCI. They are misusing their dominant position. This time it was the turn of Pakistan to host this event. PCB has never objected to participating in any of the tournaments that are hosted by India. It is the BCCI who always do that. They know that without their participation, the TV broadcasters will pull out from the deal. BTW, I don't understand what is the issue for SLCB. Anyway the best thing for ACC to do would be to replace India with an associate team and then impose a financial penalty on the BCCI which is equal to the loss incurred as a result of their pullout.

But PCB is willing to bear this loss as its now matter of self respect. Monetary losses incurred by Pakistan maybe reimbursed by the ACC. But what about the lost chances for Nepal? Back in 2006, they qualified for the Asia Cup for the first time. But India refused to participate in the tournament and therefore it was cancelled. ACC compensated the host nation, but Nepal never got another chance to participate in the Asia Cup. And now after 17 years, they have once again qualified for the Asia Cup. Once again BCCI is forcing the cancellation of the tournament. It may not matter much for Pakistan, but it is another setback for Nepal.

PCB cannot make any decisions in regards to cancellation of Asia Cup. The decision can only be taken by ACC. The only option left for PCB is to decide not to participate in the tournament. I am sure they won't opt out but if they do then the repercussions would be big. Do remember they are going to host Champions trophy next year. Looking at the present situation it would be wise for PCB to only shift Indian teams games to UAE. Otherwise they would have to agree in shifting the entire tournament to UAE.

Srilanka (W) vs  Bangladesh (W)

These two teams are playing second ODI match. First ODI match was played but only Srilankan women team played its turn and rain interfered. The Second ODI was scheduled on 2 May but again rain started and they stopped the match. And today they scheduled second ODI but here again rain started but they are playing. Srilankan team played only 30 overs and made only 186 runs and gave only 5 wickets. And now the Bangladesh women team is playing and they played 22 overs and made 97 runs and 4 women got out. Srilankan team is looking strong in this match. But can't predict at this time. Let see.
